when there's many items on one track and each item has its own eq fx and a change is needed for one of the parameters in the fx window for all those items (same eq fx is on all items), is this possible?

If I understand correctly what you want, it is possible to create an automation for all the equalizers inserted throughout the chain and then undo the modification to the precondition, by using plugin automation parameters, controlled inside Reaper, maybe using the master track (by creating busses). However, if it is a specific section, like an effect, it may be easier to create a track with the desired equalization for the specific section (maybe using a filter plugin) and send it (by busses) to the entire chain of events and, after the end of the desired event, silence the plugin.
