I thought they would stick us buying it again. That is awesome, and they have not even changed the price for new customers.

 

cool! ive never been able to get logic to work smoothly. I own it, but always have hiccups with plugin scanning etc. its a great program when it does work haha.

 

That is just lack of effort.

 

Glad that we don't have to pay for an update like that.

 

have you tried a tool called "OSX Validate All AU's"? it force validate most problomatic plugins that cause Logic to crash. Very useful little app.

 

Has anyone seen an update yet in (Mac) App Store?

I use that app all the time on High Sierra Logic 10.4. But the way he explained it might confuse you. It does not force the plugin to pass validation. It changes nothing about that. What it does, is forces AUValTool to "see" the plugin. It does not change the outcome of AUValTool's evaluation of the plugin. The only way to change that is to figure out and fix whatever it is a problem. The main benefit of this app is you can force validation to occur without rebooting the machine.

 

Much better vibes than Pre$onus with their $ubscription naggery and paid updates but unSolved bug$ yay

Definitely better. Subscription models are a way to keep milking the customer.

 

AI features availability doesn't force you to give up your creativity. It's your choice to use them or make music traditionally

 

apparently they're still waiting for it to show up in app store.

 

Apple is quite savvy; they charge you for new computers and eventually render older ones unsupported. They also cleverly hook you into their ecosystem. Logic Pro is Mac Only, and has no protection, because the end goal is to sell the computers to run it.

 

What else is the AI supposed to use when it begins handling all the music production globally?

When you can buy a Mac Mini for close to the price of Cubase; for the everyday person making music that is a pretty sweet setup.

 

I talked to Apple at NAMM one year and I was told exactly that. Apple had just dropped the protection on Logic and I had to find out why.
