Hello

Does anyone remember how to tell Nexus that the Library is in a different place?

I know it is something to do with settings.json but I don't know to put the file path within that document. I have tried it, but it isn't showing up in Nexus

"library_folder": "/Volumes/4TB Storage/NEXUS/Nexus/Nexus 4 Soundbank Factory ROM Extension 3 & 4",

"user_folder": " /Users/Shared/reFX/User Content/nexus

are how I have mine. you just need those lines to reflect your real content locations. I don't like how I did mine really, but I do not use it enough to screw with it because it works.

 

I am on Mac

 

those are the lines from settings.json file. the library folders are on an external 4tb drive.

But the users folder is on ssd with macOS.

your library location just like you said, is probably wrong if you are installing v4.

You need those 2 libraries in the location I first posted. You are installing Nexus 4.1.3, but your "library" shows Nexus 3. But I also think that you need the 2 rom extension files, and the link to them as I posted it. The extensions 3+4 are required to be there. You could look that up and confirm.

 

right, you are trying to use a Nexus 3 folder as your library. But your settings.json is pointing to that nexus 3 library. i do not know if that will work. I remember it being as extensions 3 and 4 as it's default library or it will not work. those are like the "core library".

If not, at least go to your file and add another /Nexus Library. just so you are even looking into the right directory.
