I'm looking for a simple, powerful live looper software for Mac to use as an inspirational sketchpad instead of a DAW. I realize every DAW could be used for this, but I'm going minimal for an upcoming educational project. Only need 8-tracks, but don't want to be limited to 4 bars. Any thoughts?

Your question sounds easy, but really it has so much room for personal preferences. The kind of thing where you have to try a bunch of stuff yourself and see what lends itself most to what you are trying to do.

 

Are there any live loopers that can run stand-alone? If integrating inside of another app, it becomes complex and similar to using a DAW.

one of the two was the one ed sheeran was using before starting to manufacture them with his own company. it's one of the super loopers. What's a spelling error difference? probably a lot.
