Any Melda users here? This is probably going nowhere, but I could swear, left hand on the Satanic Bible™ and both horns up, that I had a plugin or preset at some point called "Male to Female".
Couldn't find it in the v16 bundle and it must have been way earlier or I was hallucinating.
Didn't find anything about it on the website. Does that ring a bell? Do you know an alternative to alter the voice in that way except surgery? Much thanks.

surgery isnt needed! voice training can change the timbre of your voice at a pretty reasonable rate, though i dont think thats the answer you're looking for

Mautopitch might have a preset also named Male to female, i think. it has built in formant shifting.

 

MAutoPitch (v13 here) has two presets called "Man from a woman" and "Woman from a man". Try MTransformer as that has some powerful pitch/freq, formant shifting.

edit: If you're looking for something beyond formant/pitch shifting as an effect, then maybe go the ai voice-to-voice swapping route. Have a look at audimee.com, lalals.com etc where you can upload a vocal and have it re-sung in a different voice or as an instrument...it's worth exploring.

Looked it up and it's on Big Sur and I use 10.5.7 and it needs to be offline. Should have clarified that. A lot of those AI tools like the Topaz stuff want to download models after installation and can't have that. At least for now. But thanks anyway!

Yeah, there's a lot of it and it's a bit confusing what does what. Some of them are pretty unique.

 

just use free http://tryreplay.io choose from over 15k female models on http://weights.gg make sure you transpose up if youre going from male to female.

 

Sorry, but I don't consider that free. It needs a Google, Apple or Discord account and another account to use it and I can't download models and use it offline. I don't use software with that business model and quite frankly I am not a fan of it. Also I don't want to copy another voice.
The best advice here was to learn to do it myself and alter my voice with plugins.
I already have my answer and the thread is "solved" But thanks for your suggestion. I am not knocking on it, it's just not my thing.

Incoming divorce papers. That's really good! Me like. The LittleAltarBoy was recommended before and heard good things about the SoundToys plugins in general, but have never used them. It's a top contender. I played around with the Mautopitch, Mtransformer, Pitchmonster and Elastique Pitch and got some "interesting" results, but sounded more like a castrate so far, but I am trying.
P.S. It's not just for vocals, but also plain speech to say lines. I do really consider voice training for that.
By the way, that thumbnail and video reminds me of the silent movie Les Vampires or something like that. Haven't seen that one.

It is from silent movie Metropolis. For me, alterboy was the most "natural" I have tried - but you have to experiment a little to make it more natural (like singing or saying something in a high pitched way, like one octave above, instead of using the pitch control for this, and then adjust / mess with the formant control).
