Hey, I bought Soundtoys 5 and wanted to give the second license to a friend. Unfortunately it doesn't work. Can anyone tell me how it works?

 

you might want to do some reading about what you purchased. i've never heard of buying plugins and getting a second license to give away. it's normally activations, which is not the same thing.

yeah, you can either machine authorize your buddies system with your iLok account with Soundtoys stuff, but that can end up being a can of worms... but you can't spread authorizations across different iLoks tied to 2 different accounts...

Right, of course it would, that's how iLok works.

You can authorize your buddies computer with either your physical iLok or you can give him one of your machine authorizations, but with option b, that can get a little sticky sometimes as they will have control of your iLok assets and whatnot.
