It's about time!

 

Been waiting 2 years for it hah. Guess it took them a bit to move what they were going to move over to the new licensing. Now I don't have to see that shit getting installed along with the other Activation Manager and Download Assistant.

Go figure, there's already people whining about it over at Steinberg's forums..

 

There is only one issue with this and it seems to be consistent on every forum.
- It is the plugins and apps that have not been shifted to the new licensing service. That's actually all on Steinberg. I can see why people who purchased the RND Portico and other products are pissed off. Steinberg has given no indication that they intend to shift more across. Considering that some of them were expensive, it not only renders them useless on a system failure, because they cannot be re-authenticated, it means they cannot get later versions anymore, rendering their purchases as dust in the wind.
