i mean thats just the reality of performing; ive played so many shows, no matter how much you rehearse, sound check and prep, the unexpected will happen, we all have to take L’s sometimes. its part of the game, especially on tour

it sucks that happened at Coachella but i feel her. ive had some crazy shit happen, that when i did sound check; everything was straight, geared ive used a hundred times. then just magically shits all fucked up or someone i was counting on to do there job, doesnt do it well, and i just had to take it. it happens to everyone in some way

 

The point is that there was no check. Nothing. Just everything on wild. Which is unprofessional. Also she lacks of djing basics.
Counting to 4, divide by 2, matching the beats and mixing manually are dj basics which she lacks of.
It is like you got driving license on automatic gearbox car without prooving that you can drive manual gearbox car.
To get a driving license you should be able to driving manual gearbox car also.

 

The hardest part about DJing is finding the best song to play next. To do this, you must build a connection with your audience and allow them to tell you what they want to hear. If you pre-plan your set beforehand, you elminate this challenge. However you aren't creating a unique experience for the audience. You are basically just a glorified playlist. This isn't DJing IMO. I learned to spin on turntables, so the pitch control was my best friend. It still surprises me how often I see current DJs complete an entire set without ever touching the pitch control or even browsing their library.

well neither of us were there but just having played festivals, she most likely sound checked. what i do know is playing large crowds like that, everythings magnified, you make one little mistake and it feels like this big huge thing, even if the crowd doesnt notice it as a mistake. then youre all in your head

in reality professional DJ's fuck up transitions theyve practiced or have done a lot; and theres a lot of nerves going into the show, then after you fuck up; its more. on a big stage like Coachella, thats being streamed around the world and you know it, that feeling is intense

 

In my country you need to take your driving test in a car with a manual gearbox and no one gives a fuck that you have a car with an automatic gearbox in your garage. To get driving license you must pass with a manual gearbox car because that is the basis.

One friend of mine, talked more than 10 years ago about her, she told me she loves Grimes, an I remember she said is gonna be on the "27's suicide people group" because of what the music industry is gonna make to her. Later she married this man, so maybe is what she was predictioning.
