Both are good, but both are also flawed compared to other options (soothe and trackspacer come to mind). They all do the same thing, pure:unmask is slightly better because it is content aware, but the lack of mid/side options in neutron and pure:unmask removed a great deal of flexibility. Neutron has the best UI, pure:unmask sounds slightly better. In context they should work the same. Hope that helps.

I don't know about that for sure, I saw some pretty convincing evidence that Pure Unmask easily outperformed Trackspacer, and absolutely held it's own against Soothe, especially at the price.....

But I haven't tried Izotope's riff on it though... I really didn't get on with Neutron myself, at least when it first came out a decade or a little less ago.. but I'm sure it's grown up a lot..

    For me:
Trackspace and Soothe2 are must have.

    Another options.
Tbpro DSEQ (not easy, but good)
    Focusrite Reveal (like trackspace)
Neutron 4 (fast, efective, dynamic,a lot options)
    Sonible EQ4
Baby smooth (more simple, lack controls),
    Sonnox Claro
    MM Fuser.

Like I said, pure:unmask sounds better because it is content aware, but it loses on flexibility. I don't know why they haven't brought mid/side options because I have them in SmartEQ4, so that means it exists. The pure series is just stuff taken from their big brothers.

In terms of how complete and good is the package, here's my ranking (best to worst - though they are all good): SmartEQ4, Soothe, Trackspacer, pure:unmask, Neutron.
