This came in as a terrible news, never knew that he was going through such hard times.
A few days ago, there was a discussion here on a Reaper section reg. some midi cc. I was a little concerned if he managed to figure it out or not.
Now i will never know...

Goodbye Oly.. You will always be remembered.

To put things into context, Olymoon banned me once. I was short on my nerves with the other person in the thread and I took Olymoon's response the wrong way.

Thankfully, I wasn't unmannered in the way that people behave online on a regular basis, but nevertheless he decided to pull the plug, and hey - fair game!

Fast forward a couple of months, and after a break from the sistersite, I decided to write him an apology from a different account.

Without knowing about his personal battle, I was overwhelmed by the sense that I had to reach out to this person and let him know that nothing but my sincerest thoughts go out to him, as I didn't get the chance to clearly state that before.

We had a brief but heartfelt correspondence, and needless to say, he was ever the gracious gentleman.

To the family, please accept my deepest condolences during this trying time.

May God rest his soul and bring him forth in light.

Olymoon... Very big name for us and sure we're gonna miss him. We have read hundreds of his messages and as far as I know him from here, he lived a very beautiful and useful life. Even though we were not aware of it, he helped us in many matters. A beautiful life that can be taken as an example. Rest in peace man!

 

So sad about it ... Enjoy in the better World ...This world is everything short and fake ...

What a terrible news!
I've always had the impression that he is a really disciplined guy with good heart, worked really well as moderator in AS and AZ. We will be missing him.

Once he deleted a bunch of comments in a thread on AS, including several comments of mine because we were off the topic. He even alerted me in PM.
My first (instant) reaction was disagreeing and questioning. He explained it with details after that. Next day I woke up and realized I had been wrong (silly) and he was right. I replied him telling that I have to admit that I completely agree with him, just needed to go to sleep and wake up to understand his point.

I have hard time to accept when a good person passes away. It's not fair!!!

Being a member who rarely interacts with the audiosex community, I really want to appreciate the kind of respect people have for each other here.I have had no interaction with Olymoon here but I have seen his name appear on many posts that were helpful to the community and hopefully will remain so.I want his family to feel proud of him because he helped us poor musicians/composers/producers in some way or other rather be it through his administration on this forum or on the sister site.May his soul find peace in the ever after.
