Find Any File app. or Trash Me app. Just review the items they find.

 

Advise: do it manually and always have a backup.
Do not forget to check:

/library/audio/plug-ins/VST/
/Library/audio/plug-ins/Components/ for Logic
/library/audio/plug-ins/VST3/
/library/audio/plug-ins/Clap/
/Users/[your user]/Library/Application Support/

I believe should be plug-ins not plugins folder.

you´re right. found it nevertheless ;-)



i did all the stuff manually and uninstalled old waveshells via the central. ironically, all of a sudden the ssl plugins from waves which i use often, were also uninstalled. so i ended up uninstalling all waves plugins and reinstalled the ones i like to use.

all in all, it was hard/stupid work but it feels good to get rid of some bs in the system.
if anyone is planning on doing the same --> have some cold beer in your fridge. it was helpful to me

Oh yeah, I'm setting up a new machine from scratch, and there are a 'few' waves plugs that I want to install, but I definitely don't need the whole pile'o'mess of nonsense en masse....

setting up a new machine is basically the same --> hard/stupid work but in the end very satisfying
yeah, these tons of waves plugins are wild. and its so tempting in the central to click f*ckin everything, even though you know you´ll never use it.

btw fun fact: as slate digital and ssl are bought from the same company, i now have a ssl subscription too, with ssl channel strips and stuff....but i like the sound of the waves ssl stuff way more than the ....."original" :D
