I hope I'm not breaking any rules by asking this. I'm a hobbyist and want to give an old DJ friend an EDM track I made. I just used a limiter to push some dBs and of course it sounds like ass next to every other track. It's far too quiet and muddy in a DJ mix.

I want someone I can trust here to master it and I'll pay ya. I'm a hobbyist and this song will never be released for sale, so I can't justify a big price. I don't know how much to offer for this. Please DM and let me know you'd like to hear it and tell me your price.

He's quite affordable, I can't say if his service is any good (never tried)

 

For £38.00, you are probably paying for 30 minutes or so of his time. Well, more like his equipment and his assistant's time. But that is still a fair price and you know what his setup is because it's in every one of his videos. If it was more rock music genres, someone I would recommend charges £50.00 an hour using the hardware you'd expect. All I mean to say is that his pricing sounds fair and comparable with others.

 

I'm no mastering engineer (I'm under 20 lol), but not a newbie either (I've been at this since I was 13). I could try to do it for free and if you'd like it, you could decide whether to pay me or not.

My suggestion, if your friend doesn't watch this forum, just upload your track here and see what happens...

 

I work part-time as a ME and have done many EDM projects in my analog/digital hybrid studio. Let me know if you still need any help. I also offer a free test master (half a track/song), so you know what you are getting. You can just PM me a link to the track and I'll get back to you.

 

Been mastering for about around five years mainly rap/hip-hop and alternative rock, but I've dabbled with DnB and House music. Mastering skills are fairly transferrable between genres.

More than willing to give it a shot for you. I can send you some links to tracks I've worked on if you need to hear some material.

Honestly I love a little competition so I'd like to see how it stacks up against anyone else who tries a master.

Edit: Oh shit, I've been mastering for 7 years?! Time flies. Well, I've only really known what I'm doing for 5 years so that's probably what counts

Because of the success I had asking here, I'll seek Audiosexers for this sort of thing in the future. I recommend others who need mastering to ask here also!

As for this master, I went with @4096 for it. He was the first to ask and he got it back to me quickly. He said here that he's inexperienced, but he did a fine job on it! I have the master and I'm waiting for his PayPal address DM to pay him the $50 I offered for the job.
