I want it, but iLok Cloud is the biggest obstacle for me. And I also don't want to use a dongle.

"no UA hardware required." And no dongle, too:
    • Free iLok account with iLok Cloud or iLok USB (2nd generation or higher)
    • A physical iLok dongle is NOT required to activate this product
But if you want my opinion on UAD, it's just a snake oil. Their hardware made sense in the days of weak computers 20+ years ago, but it's just a special separate processor, it doesn't process sound. Their plugins are just the same applications, a software, no more. But a lot of other FX and Instrument software products have already been much better for a long time (an we all really have them, yeah). UAD roughly resembles the quality of the free Antress plugins of the same time. I also believed that their plugins were wonderful, but having recently bought one package, I was absolutely disappointed. And other owners simply keep silent about it so that they are not so offended and so that others also spend money, or, conversely, they even praise these crafts, but they just lie))

yes totally agree w/you. just software w/ a over-sized copy protection device. that's what UAD is.

It is pretty much snake oil, and the reason you hear so many accolades about it is usually from people who spent a fair amount of money and trying to justify their purchase.

Like a jersey for a football player someone owns who sucks or was traded/cut etc.

For $50, meh, maybe if someone doesn't have these pretty available tools... not a bad deal... but I wouldn't be entering into any UAD ecosystem again.... I used them when they came out, and when other people had them... and no, I didn't need them, and no, they aren't better then anyone else at anything I can think of other then grifting.

Just wait Guitar FX Bundle for 49$ - better value . I believe they will push it again in a month or two.

Available for a limited time, add the professional tone and texture of our most popular effects for recording and mixing guitars, including vintage compression, reverb, tape delay, rotary speaker, and more! Save 96% on this essential collection for guitarists in our exclusive flash sale!

Priced only $49 USD, the bundle includes:

    • Teletronix LA-3A Classic Audio Leveler: Push your guitars front-and-center with the unique, aggressive character of this “secret weapon” compressor used by everyone from Prince to Roxy Music.
    • Lexicon 224 Digital Reverb: Add the lush ambience used on classic guitar tones from U2, Talking Heads, Daniel Lanois, and more with this bit-for-bit emulation of the classic ’80s studio hardware.
    • Brigade Chorus: Inject the same three-dimensional movement and shimmer to guitar and bass as Rush, The Cure, and the Red Hot Chili Peppers.
    • Studio D Chorus: Enjoy the same “secret sauce” analog widening effects used by Stevie Ray Vaughan, Brian Eno, M83, and more, for stunning analog modulation textures at the push of a button.
    • Waterfall Rotary Speaker: Immerse yourself in jaw-dropping swirl — far beyond typical modulation and flange — and get the same rotary speaker effects used on classic albums from The Beatles and Jimi Hendrix to The War on Drugs and Soundgarden.

I agree with some users what they have previously said about UAD but to me they still have best LA2A,1176, Pultec, FairChild, API 2500,Distressor, Lexicon 224,Minimoog...
There is competition with slightly different flavors but UAD always delivers it with quality.
For Manley stuff, I have Pulsar Mu and Massive for example.
You are getting better delays with Echoboy , Replika XT and Valhalladelay for example etc.

If you can't use the plugins offline without a dongle then you're not paying to own the plugins, you're playing to rent them.

yeah, I'm rebuilding new system now, and since I have an iLok 1 & 2, I'm not even sure if I have to buy a damn newer version if I want to be able to bring it to other studios (which I haven't done in a few years, but am about to embark on....).
