fun fact, Moby got to play his 1st big nyc debut, because they needed an opening act for SNAP!
SNAP!'s plane was delayed, so they asked Moby to play as the headliner, and voila, from DJ in crap clubs to live in one lucky break. course he had played in a couple "shitty" by his recollection bands in high school and his mom made him take piano lessons, and he was working on making demos and trying to put an album together.

as Edna Mode says, "Fortune favors the prepared, dahling...."

So yeah, maybe no SNAP! no moby or at least it would have taken longer to get noticed..Though the concert didn't really do much for his career other than give him confidence he could pull off a big show..

SNAP! i've got all their records, (both of them)

    catchy tune though.....

I have a funny story about SNAP!...

Between '94-95 I used to work for a gym in Orlando making cold calls gifting free membership trials. One of the calls I made was to Turbo B and I didnt even know it until he showed up at the gym. Fast forward a few weeks later, I was hanging out with some friends watching a couple of punk bands at a bar downtown and noticed a guy wearing purple dreadlocks moshing and just wrecking fools. I recognized Turbo B immediately and ran to say hello and almost got clotheslined by him before he recognized me. We both laughed about it but holyshit was that a close call lol

They released a updated Version with USB-C Midi Input:
JT-4000M Micro and i really couldn´t believe my eyes and ears.
Sure it doesn´t sound exactly like the Original JP8000 BUT i sounds bigger than the VST Versions.
Will get it in few days and than i can report you here how it sounds.
For 50€ it´s a noBrainer. I bought worse VSTs which are way more expensive.

    I watched this YT Demos:

There is also a Editor as VST and AU

I´m really looking forward to this device :)

    Short Update on this:
I got it today and OMG what a sound!!!

I really cannot believe it. It´s a mix of the JP8 and my old Virus C.
I remember how the Virus C Sound, will never forget. When you crank up the Filters, having a lot of delay and reverb and the super warm transients of the Sound are flying through the room.

I tried to write this experience down with GPT:
The JT-4000 really delivers a warm and phat sound which fullfills all my wishes for Trance and Electronic Music.
The Cutoff and also the ADSR from the Cutoff reacts super smooth or snappy.
    The sound is a beast.
In the short time in Bitwig i made so much progress and saved many Presets, thats crazy.
The Editor works very very well and reloads the patches when loading a project.

Actually i have some small problems with noise, humming, buzzing etc. from my Setup. It´s not the JTs fault.
I need to fix that and than i wantto record some demos :)
