I am truly sorry for the "non professional" post, as this site seems to be about "professionals". But I am in a bit of a pinch.

I recently installed the R2R Studio One 6 to get my hand in music creation and validated the license accordingly. (In case some haven't figured it out because I saw a lot of posts about it, you need to change the stock SO6 exe file to the one provided by R2R.)

I also install PreSonus Hub and put the License where asked for. (Assuming this was enough to validate it.)

My issue is now the following:

I struggle to know how to install Extensions / Plugins / Add-ons. I have a folder full of ".license" files and don't know how to "drag and drop" them on the SO6 GUI because it just gives me the forbidden sign. (regular barred circle) I also don't know where to them through some "browsing" option and no site seems to give clear answer about it.

Many posts I found used a certain "sister site" which I do not know about either, so I assume it's something along the lines of "if you know, you know" and didn't dig further because I had no clue to start with.

Would there be any way to help me about any of this? If not, sorry for bothering and thanks in advance for the time and interest you'll give this post. Wishing you all a good day / evening / night.

 

The issue is that you didn't download a R2R release. It doesn't require you to manually place a patched file into the installation folder.

Hello, thanks for your quick reply. The folder with named "R2R" had a Studio One 6.exe and a "StudioOne_Keygen.exe". How comes, if that isn't from them ? Would it be like some sort of version where the releaser added some third-party program like some people do with Bitcoin mining softwares?

 

it is difficult to predict the actions of others, impossible to assess the reason the package you downloaded was, the package you downloaded. why did the sun rise? that is a great question, but unanswerable as well.,

worry about the things you can do and don't try to figure out why.

 

Can't say without looking, but there's been a peer-to-peer cracked version with imperfect crack that didn't include the extensions and was activated by R2R keygen. Maybe you got yourself that one.

 

most r2r releases will say they are "patched and keygen". a release like this will come with the installer, and a keygen. Sometimes they will patch the executable that is the actual program. it is not the installer.

so you run the installer. then use the key generator. Then you go and find where the actual program was installed, and you replace it with their modified executable file.

An installer may contain much more than just the program you run when using the DAW. It can include dependencies, additional content, user manual, etc.

 

Tried downloading it from the sister site, thanks. I'll keep you updated. If I get you correctly, there should be the extensions already available and I'll just need to activate them with the licenses? (Although dropping them on the GUI doesn't seem to work.)

 

Maybe you are on the wrong error :

So you have the DAW up and running good ? ... and have you dwnloaded the Soundsets ? , -that is a seperate package!
( Soundsets complete V5 ) ! . r2r just gives u the licenses .... not the Soundsets itself.

 

Hey ! Thanks for your reply ! If DAW is the official name for the software, then yes, it works perfect ! I installed some packs that were in the "installer" menu. I also added Presonus hub that I quite didn't figure out just yet. I will look up the Soundsets and try to find if I can find them somewhere like on the sister site.

Problem is I saw the download options and they're very numerous with slow download speed, so I'm taking it one day at a time, to say.
