Can anyone tell me how to get downloaded stems, downloaded in FADR, into Reaper, please?

It's annoying to me that you seemingly cannot just drag audio files into reaper, but you can't. Or I don't know how. You either have to insert them using the media explorer (control alt x I think?) Or by inserting them by "adding new midi track or item" something like that. I'm not by my computer obviously.

When you insert more than one item it'll ask you if you want them to go vertical or side by side, pick the first option that's default to get them to all be new items. You'll figure it out im guessing!

 

I can certainly drag mp3 and (most) other audio files from explorer into Reaper. If you can't, my guess would be you are running Reaper as administrator or there's other privileges/permissions conflict

 

Oh shit, thanks for letting me know! I would bet I'm running it as admin just didn't figure that would affect dragging files in from explorer. I'll mess with some settings when I get home from work.

 

I haven't had any problems to drag and drop (compatible) audio files into Reaper. Works even with the link.

I am able to drag and drop just about any audio files, from any folder, directly into Reaper. Never had a problem doing so
