Actually , as much as Bobby McFerrin is a phenomenal musician and singer and music explorer, Queen did it with 'We will rock you' much earlier, and I am sure someone in the Classical /Renaissance / Baroque / Romantic eras who we never heard of, probably did it centuries ago.
Sorry I used Queen as that's not a great comparison other then audience choir participation.

As for better, I won't go there, but on a pure Technical level, vocal skill level and feel, with a complete performance dedicated only to audience participation, McFerrin was first and also a genius.
For pure vocalese chops, McFerrin also leaves Collier for dead. There's no comparison.

 

A McFerrin library would be something. Next to McFerrin, Collier is a beginner and the library samples in this free library are not great quality.
Collier has incredibly good harmonic sense, and perfect pitch like McFerrin. The difference is McFerrin does not need harmonizers or autotune and McFerrin is not a Mediocre singer without those tools, Collier is not a great singer by any standard.

This boy seems to be high functioning autistic. Every time I see him on youtube videos I feel (the pain) that he constantly suffers seeking attention. And my concern is the way the music industry has lifted him up, he can burn out quickly.

What he does in music, first it sounds fascinating, crazy harmonies but there is always some degree of immaturity that would need more serious mentorship. Not that Quincy or Herbie aren't there to assist but I rather think Jacob doesn't really let them control/conduct him.
I'm speaking about mixing, editing and even the recording quality. Also the uncertainty while jumping between genres. Just look at the new album. They did a clever PR for this album, wisely pre-releasing some of the songs, then after the release you realize the rest of the album is just so meaningless, at least for those who were teased by the other songs.
The most problematic thing for me is that even if he is so gifted, in his effort to reach popularity he tries to follow the trends (instead of being original, creating his own style, other than dressing in colorful pijamas on stage, looking like a complete idiot), becoming a wanna-be artist.
Growing up would eliminate this issue but that's what is missing here.

Just compere him with Cory Henry and you can see the difference.

I am not sure on that.
His skills are exceptional as a pure musician. I think he is doing what every musician does, he's searching for his own voice. He has that in his arrangements. I think he is a better composer and arranger than he is a singer or performer personally. His harmony arrangements are great. His singing voice not so much.
