Looking to see what everyone's preferred drumkits for RNB are?

I'm about to work on a project for a rnb singer, and have too many trap kits, funk kits, etc. Just looking for some stellar drum samples which fit the genre.

 

cymatics has a bunch of great ones. some free on their site, many on the sister site. Im not sure which of their suites have RNB, but i know many do. Highly recommend! They have loops split out into stems, as well as great one shots. Search through their suites, find one that has RNB, or try their free packs, though those are more limited.

 

There are so many different flavors of RNB and the meaning of the term has changed drastically since its inception in the 1950s.

Would be helpful if you can give an example of the sound you are looking for. Something like the Brent Faiyaz sound?

Also, are you going for an acoustic sound of more of an electronic vibe?

Lo-fi or hi-fi sound?

So many variables!

Their synth patches are excellent too (some were on the sister site), but the drums.... SUPERB. I've been collecting sample packs for years and none of them can stand next too the packs froms this site. They have a small RNB kit for around $7, very worth getting even just for the kicks and hi hats, they have bigger sample packs also. But deffo worth trying out.

But like HAZEN has said cymatics do have some good pack with the one shot and full loops stemmed out so you can mix and match. The new Pack DUALITY that just came out has some decent drums and loops in there
