Watch out guys, the new update is likely to make the R2R releases not working anymore...

Change log for 2.5.79 (Released on February 20th, 2024)
Note! This update contains a major structural change to how data is saved in all Softube plug-ins. This means that if you save a project using this version it will not be possible to downgrade to an earlier version of the plug-in and load the project. Furthermore Amp Room, Console 1, and Modular version 2.5.79 will only function correctly with plug-ins/modules of version 2.5.79 (or newer). In short; please make sure to update all your Softube plug-ins to the latest version.

didn't check it yet but I wouldn't update to this new version if you want to keep using the 2.5.9 versions from R2R...

So, I installed the latest update and sadly the R2R versions don't work anymore inside Console 1. Standalones are fine obviously... You can load the modules inside console, but then you get a message telling you to update. After closing a project, the settings are gone when you re-open it...
So if you want to keep using Console 1 with the R2R plugins, DO NOT UPDATE to version 2.5.79

 

For anyone needing the old installer to downgrade here's version 2.5.73
I chose this one because even if weiss console doesn't work properly, all the others do, including the new VCA compressor.

At this point I just wish for R2R to update the fix and to add the Empirical Lab and Core Mixing Suite strips.

 

Now that Softube is doing a trade-in thingy (25%off) on the new console mkiii, i hope r2r will revisit this software.
i really can't afford all the consoles and the trade-in...
