NICE! I have the UAD and Waves 160 but this could be great too. Site is still freaking out and popping up the high traffic message but it let me login and grab the license without any hiccups.

 

Acustica Audio recently released a free plugin emulation of the same / very similar DBX compressor. I'm liking the Softube version more. AA version has some obscure parameters and feels clunky to use on my machine. Softube's interpretation, even though not exactly light on the CPU (but lighter than the AA version), feels more straightforward and has a fantastic sound. It feels like a refined and extended version of Stillwell Audio's classic "Major Tom" DBX 160 emulation, which I always liked (particularly for drum processing).
