Fuck it, nothing to really complain about (punchy, loud, transparent, no phase issues, damned).

Boss track. Solid sounds, well put together, a little S&M Dom vibe, but hey it works.

Wow thanks, I had "writer's block" for 3 years because mastering and mixing has always been my weakness and I went down the rabbit hole of tutorials, books etc. And the answer to this was to simply ignore all of it, forget everything, all this youtubers, contradictory technical advices and trust my ears with logical workflow and processes that makes sense.

And most of all, I don't like the loudness war and wanted a clean master with a solid dynamic range, loud enough but not someting that looks like a brickwall waveform with a linear clip at -1db.

    :)

It sounds like you had fun making it and had a clear vision for the end result, which in the end comes across as a solid well produced product. Often the really tricky part is the having a clear vision of what you want to do in the first place, at least with me it is, personally I find I have those moments once a decade, just as well its not my full time job, eh.... but your song builds consistently from start to finish, its well balanced and most of all made me smile... well done.

Mind you I always had a soft spot for this song, after hearing it on the Some Bizzare album, being a bit of a fan of Daniel Miller at the time... ah takes me back, its partly why I spent the rest of my life messing around with synths... thanks for the reminder. :)

Yep, this song had always a special place in my musical culture. It's like a cult classic, so I wanted to pay tribute to this fundamental track, and everything that came from it, Daniel Miller, Mute and all the great artists they produced.

Mixwise, I may have a little tip. Place a bell EQ ~ 630Hz, normal Q, ~ +4dB on the mix and listen to the whole song. You'll notice that it's not good for some parts, useable for others and sometimes not even audible (not enough boost). It doesn't mean you should do this where it sounds good because it adds a different flavour even to those parts, it's just so you know.

it would only play the first 9 seconds of audio for me, but those were nice and I liked the pictures too.
so Good Job, keep it up. I'm probably not the 1st to mention, that was some of the best 9 seconds I've had this year so far.

    Technology leads the way
    I follow...

I tried, that sounds good on some parts, but then I had to stop because I fell into the trap of equing other parts, add some hi freq there and, redo some of the bass freq and STOOOOOP the track is released and I don't want to go full Georges Lucas again.

Obsolutely ok, it was just a hint to show you how the various sounds of track react to this freq range.
