Need advice about new audio interface to lower midi latency

    Ok that's on me. Apologies, I thought you meant audio. Audio would be a nightmare. Theoretically, MIDI is almost unlimited.
    Also, look up MIDI routing. There are documents all over the Internet. I am confident at least one you find will make your life easier if you are doing large MIDI scores. :)

    Nearly every DAW ( I think ? ) - Has in their settings/preferences, a path to specify where to cache. Make sure nVme is selected if it is not your default drive. :)

    Regarding cache-ing data, every DAW should be cache-ing it into TEMP or TMP folder if it's not defined.

    scaling is a real thing. its why the internet doesn't run on a single computer.
    thinking of your workstation of having a window of perfect performance, at the edges are less optimal performance until past the window is unusable performance.

    you can't stretch glass, you can't make that window bigger, but you can add another computer and get another window, and another, and another.

    its called scaling.
