Recommend me a good multi-band M/S compressor with up/down comp. I tried multiband dynamics Ableton but it doesn't have M/S mode ((

 

Fabfilter Pro-MB is legit; in the rare cases i need it, it got my back. does all that shit

but exist OTT and its free, be carefull with the mix knob to achieve ur final sound...its too agressive.

Very powerful plugin, but I only use it in the final stages because it's high CPU usage.
x6 is very good even for arrangement/sound design.
For vocals i only use mc404
ott is also a classic

Minimal Audio Fuse Compressor can do up or down compression and expansion simultaneously per band but M/S only for the whole plugin and I've never tested it.

Sandwich two instances of your favourite MB comp between an M/S encoder/decoder pair, only connect M to one comp, only S to the other. Save as preset.

 

I thought about using Ableton ott and eq 8 M/S but it takes a lot of time, better to try M/S mb com with up/down comp

i know fabfilter makes great plugins but a year ago when i started without understanding anything i started with fabfilter now i just hate them. I try to use built-in plugins in daw, but some are not powerful enough.

I'm not kidding when I ask if MB means mono band. I thought it was just a typo fo MS. Now I understand why No Avenger replied...is Stereo.
