I hate Waves as much as Protools.. I'd never use them.

 

For years now, i've truly enjoyed collecting all their freebies, not installing them, and not be bothered by their WUP. Even started a second Waves account recently, for that exact same reason.

 

I have used Waves plugins a bit but it's not worth to fill up my main SSD for only using two or three plugins.
At some point the installation was so broken that I could no longer get Waves (R2R) to work.
That was the trigger to emancipate myself completely from Waves.

The DSP Offloading and sound transport over ethernet (SoundGrid) is interesting but wasn't adopted by 3rdParty vendors and original Waves Soundgrid parts are extremely expensive. The DSP offload is not as powerful as expected/advertized.

So, no Waves here anymore.

 

I've never used Waves.

I made the mistake of installing the Melda package but I've never used any of them. Some day I'll uninstall them.

 

I really just don't like Waves plugins. Once I realized I had to keep paying to upgrade them and that they never bother to update them with real resizable GUIs, I just don't use them anymore. I am having a better time using UAD plugins which are a lot cheaper now, and T-RACKS plugins.

 

what are you talking about? the melda package is so useful!!!
