Probing For Beginners ~ by The Saucer Pilots

Long after the Audiosex collab album "Alien In a Jar" had been consigned to the CD bargain bin of history, two of the former participants @Midge F & @Aidene returned to Shabby Road Studio A for a new fun filled project. Here's the result. No recording or mastering engineers were involved or injured in the making of the album ! But you can still listen at your leisure and maybe enjoy on the website :)

    Amazing work again.
I will probably switch my "like" rating to "love it" when I have proper time to listen. And proper LSD.

Edited: done, proper and (half) proper :chilling: :drunks::rofl:

@Choosename as you're the first to say you are coming to the tour you get the two complimentary tickets and backstage passes which includes a tour of the Mars Crater Pyramid.....you would have to find your own transport to the gig of course

@Choosename We can give you a lift.

There's German Wheat Beer in the Barbarella lounge. And a triangular table tennis table.

Good focus, staying on concept and very nice texture.

wasnt expecting trip-hop. not bad, not bad

The Final Frontier is probably my favorite, the textures all really compliment each other well; its more on the downtempo side of trip-hop, with a touch of breakbeat; but i feel like it nails the direction artistically, both stylistically and emotionally, but also thematically. really translates the feeling described in the linear notes imo. im also a sucker for soaring vocal melodies like that and breakbeats, which trip-hop can do beautifully

i definitely feel like the back half is stronger and more cohesive, in that it creates more of an identity within the style: a sound - that i feel could be expanded on within trip-hop (which as a whole has a lot of room for growth). the first half is like a jam band-y way of finding its footing in the style, taking elements of everything and trying to make up its mind. which might be the goal conceptually, but as a body of work it makes it more disjointed and indistinct in sound, like theres a clear separation in sound between the two halves. if it was more uniformed, it can be expressed better stylistically and conceptually; so when people hear it, theyre like this sounds like The Saucer Pilots

looks like you guys had a lot of fun though, hope you keep it up

Cosmically speaking, this project sounds really far out! I've only been able to listen to Looking Up and it's groovier than the grooviest of groovyness. I can't wait to hear the rest.

    @Lois Lane. Ty, so much.

@Aidene, as is usual, did 95% of the heavy lifting. She's a singer/musician/producer in no particular order of the highest order. I'm just flattered to have provided some crap snares.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to listen and comment. I know it's a big ask in busy times. The constructive criticism is also great, so thanks again!

And to the "Co-Pilot" ......way too modest.......the snares were great  (...... Seriously, it was 50-50 :hifive:)

It will be cool, a tour inside the Flying Saucer, at least to see command post of one track.

The crickets on Desert Secrets are sublime.
Post Abduction Hypnotherapy is a lot "La Mesías" spanish tv series.
The melody inside Lucy Locket In The Sky With Diamond Stars, deserves a grammy. (Remembers me White lotus theme)

One thing about chorus on Non Euclidean Space, there is a chorus saying Kýrie, eléison https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kyrie
Just a religious concept, inside a kontakt library. May be is in porpouse.
