Wrong. Milk provides calcium. And the bioavailability is of high quality. In general, the quality and bioavailability of vitamins, fats, proteins and trace elements in animal milk is excellent. Most plant-based alternatives are quite disappointing in this respect, even with large amounts of additives (exception: soy milk), as the quantity, quality and bioavailability is quite poor compared to the ingredients in animal milk.

Yes, indeed they could actually drink it, but since they couldn't break down milk-sugar, it was not something they would enjoy. They didn't have a choice. As late as 5000 BC almost all Europeans could not have digested milk as adults. Even today more than 50% of all humans worldwide are lactose intolerant, in East Asia up to 90%.

Oh, I didn't know. I think I've never seen a cow face to face; I've only seen them from afar in the countryside and a horse, you see, I live in the city. But how impressive the photo is, those mountains are beautiful. Regardless of whether it's a photo generated by AI, I know there are places like that. Anyone who can live in such a place is truly fortunate.

 

It's a real photo, but no, I don't live there. I saw the picture and wrote the little story around it and the thread. I live somewhere outside of Basel though and some farmer puts a few sheep in an empty lot full of grass just outside of my studio window twice a year to mow it. There are always a few lamb in there and they continuously bleat all day. There is a bird feeder hanging from the plum tree just outside of that same window which many swallows eat from...hence my influences of the post as well as my fertile imagination. Sorry to burn down your barn.
