    what if i tell you can turn OFF FX in all Virus synths? Did you know that?

    the Virus did have some very specific architecture, no other synths have ... idea were of course implements from it into other synths.

    I not say they are bad Synths I like it back in the days when the A comes out I buyed it instally....but a comment like a virus is dirty I must laughing sorry...yes turn of the FX and hear how dirty it is...

    Its endless Discussion as I said..we can talk about not so snappy envelopes etc but it was Endless...was a good synth back in the days even the layout very nice even send midi cc etc etc....but when I hear it's now not possible with Vsti I don't know...and for some some people is dirty sound only a distortion on it and this I can do with every free vsti and free Distortion or saturation Plug on it

    I own both Ti2 and Viper, but there is a big difference. Viper is a very cool alternative though!

    While I had a TI and it's the only synth I regret selling (the virus does have a unique sound!), that example is incorrect.

    Ed Rush & Optical did not use the Virus, they mainly used Emu/Akai samplers, a Basstation, a Pro One and a lot of outboard effects.

    Yeah they used Pro One to make this track.
    But I didn't said that this track was made using Virus.
    I mentioned that you can achieve this type of sound using Virus.

    exaclty i used Virus TI and Roland JP for 20 years.. and still dont have VST with same Filters and Oscilator only Ostirus

    If you use the rectifier filter FX together with one of the waveforms, it can sound very dirty without applying any other FX. I did use B, C and now the Ti2 as plugins. (those are 100% accurate).

    i have used any plugins, which can be so phat without doing anything else. (add no unison, no FX) and yes the envelopes are very snappy compared to any softsynth i did try. (but i also know that the Blofeld, Supernova and Ultranova have very snappy envelopes.)

    Access did a very good job on the coding for all virus synths, its very dense and efficient code - its amazing how good the virus runs off one DSP Chip with the polyphony, the FX and everything. Others burned so much resources.

    I did use a lot of softsynths in 20 years and none came close to what the Virus can do, in a short amount of tweaking.

    And once again Viper is not the same, it uses Flowstone enviroment and comes only 90-95% to the sound the real virus Ti2 has.

    Serum has always sounded plastic and nasty to me, and it will never sound like a virus.

    The Virus is ridiculously powerful and still packs a punch. There are thousands of excellent presets floating around because it was so popular.

    I bought a Virus Ti2 a few months back because it just doesn't sound like any VST. It has a certain tough muscular sound that is so 90's. Even its VST clone Viper sounds different using the same presets (so different that I love that as well)

    That is no FX ??

    point of view..for me snappy is ARP Odyssey ,Pro One(for both even the Virtual Versions), Analogue Solutions Synths,Pulse 1 or Microwave 1

    Blofeld is not snappy for me the Novas are Trance Machines like your Jp but I say point of view...

    Yes for this you get 100% from me that is the truth
