I'm curious to see if it gets huge updates moving forward that greatly improve it for general mixing. Seems like they released it in a kind of buggy state based on what I read from Stevie Dude.

 

Why nobody does use the scale moving to make it brighter, to see more details?

I thought we're talking about analogue channel strip emulations and taking your signature into consideration...

 

There's a plugin called Bitter that doesn't show any bit reduction for any of the modes.

 

Yes, this does bit crushing when N, C 1200 modes used... Just EQ only - seems no such artifacts, noise only. A is clean. Noise too

Darker is clean 32 float
More blue - noise and crushed parts from tail. 32 bit float render too.

About AIR on silver bullet - right-click on AIR word and there is a curve change

 

As I tested:
All modes give noise
Mojo A is way cleaner, less noise, seems no bit crush
Mojo N noisier and add bitcrushing
Headroom lower add more saturation, makes noise quieter
Mojo C bit crushes with 1200 mode
With EQ only there is still noise

Well, the channel strip I used was from Softube anyways. American Class A

 

I did, I thought the noise at -95db is normal and not worth mentioning. Some plugins even have it at -70db. Hardware goes up even higher, dont even mention tape machine. Is that suppose to be worrying ?

 

Stevie Dude is absolutely right. Noise is there by design to accurately reflect the hardware Silver Bullet. Brad from LTL has said that there will be an option to completely remove the noise in a future update.

Yes. But this all happens before further processing like eqs, limiter.. In the end, what the level of noise and distortions will be afterall? After limiter it will be louder..

 

DUDE...I mean...-95db noise + limitor, about what? -75 at most. You can really hear it at -75db?? And btw almost all analog plugins have noise, some people like Jaycen Joshua would turn on the noise on certain tracks to make it sound more authentic.

 

Yeah, maybe it is quieter than dither noise, but after limiter.... I hear it... Maybe make it louder before silver bullet, then limiter to catch peaks, and noise will not be louder... But still.. In the club , big acoustic systems.. I wish this with noise -20dB quieter or so and no quantization errors, distortion. This thing makes audio better, more hi-fi, good eq, good saturation models..... But these noise, quantization dist....

 

It's good but I'd recommend this instead. Very transparent, lower CPU usage and cheaper ($20 when you subscribe to their newsletter)

 

I just spent about 20 or 30 minutes testing it out. I think for someone who wants to learn compression it would be helpful. it gives a ton of information visually. If you are already familiar with Kirchhoff interface, it's a pretty quick workflow. I was mostly trying to get reasonably transparent result, and it made pretty quick work of what i needed it to do. It's not going to replace Presswerk, Pro-C2, or any others for me either. But I could see it maybe getting used in place of some Logic stock compressor types. I doubt I would buy it separately, but if I was doing some PA sub i'd make use of it.

 

Better i would say, which are the PA plugins i like.

Snake oil.....??? Not even a part of it.I don't care about the analog stuff too as it lacks harmony content but as a digital EQ beats them all.
