Would it be possible to get dark mode or theme for AudioSex, or is there a way I can do that myself in browser?

Yes, for Firefox is an extension called Dark Reader. Opera can do this by default.

My Opera is set to dark mode, but apart from the top browser window, it looks the same in Firefox (without any dark mode extension).
Means the text fields in both browsers are still white...

Sorry no idea. Textfields are dark here (Linux KDE).

There's also an addon called Stylus.
With that addon you can create custom css styles for any website.

I did it for AZ once and I'm using that style since few years now.
Since it's css only, there are some limitations but with newer css elements such as transitions,
even some animations are possible as you can see below.



Always thought about creating one for AS as well but didn't find the time.

I've been using "Dark Background and Light Text" extension for Firefox for quite a long time. I like it better than "Dark Reader" extension because you can define the colour of the links. I like them red for visited and green for not visited, so I don't press the same link twice.

This "Stylus" extension looks very interesting.

 

Interesting, thanks. But I wasn't complaining, just mentioning. As long as the whole page isn't bright white, I'm ok with white text fields.

I'm now testing "Dark Mode" extension (Chrome, Opera, Firefox, Edge): it basically works, but it is inconsistent on handling grey text. Also, it makes website frames disappear when they have a gray color

That's why I do my styles on my own. There I can change every element as I want.

OK, I think it's going in a nice direction now.
The header is animated, background is a dark polygon one (looks bad in the gif, I know),
most elements are transparent with backdrop blur.

Only thing is: I don't know if the backdrop blur is supported by every browser.
If not (will test it when the style is finished), I'll have to create a fake blurry bg
for the transparent elements.

 

I use the same extension for Microsoft Edge and looks the same as the pic for me. It's not 100% fool proof though as it also darkens things like the response to posts buttons, e.g. like, agree, winner etc, so can't see any of the post ratings
