I need your opinions about UAD Signature Bundle especically advices and opinions needed from real UAD plugin users... Price is now 299 and I am thinking about grabbing it...

A no brainer. But keep in mind you'll have to use iLok (cloud or USB key) and UA Connect Application.
Besides that, fantastic sound and price for 44 premium plugins.

 

Thank you for the notes I am already using Ilok Licence Manager and sometimes Ilok UsbC dongle for Soundtoys - Soothe 2 - Spiff and Slate Digital plugins it wont be a problem for me...

 

Great, then you are all set I'd reccomend to put your UADx licenses on iLok USB dongle + iLok activation as a backup or on mobile setup.

 

i wouldnt need all of those plugins; i also dont understand the actual objective value of UAD plugins, it so volatile - like take the Distressor plugin, looking at it now, its $299 by itself, i got it for $79 and it held that price for like a year, before going to $99. then it was $99 for a while, then for the past holidays it was listed in a list of 2 plugins for $99, then this deal 44 plugin "deal": so what is the actual value of this plugin?

that makes it hard to determine if theyre actually giving you a deal, or if its just marketing - since i dont know how much it actually cost them to create the plugin, when they can keep changing the price so drastically; it seems like not much to make a profit - they do this pretty consistently

would i pay $299 for this plugin? no. does it make sense to run a deal like that and then list all other plugins at $299 individually? yes, its marketing, the value is subjective; and if it were me, most of those 44 plugins would just be sitting there

I've been in the UAD ecosystem for very long. Yes, their prices were generally always high.
The good thing is that UA marketing department has adopted new reality and with release of native plugins made some admirable moves towards getting new customers.
These sales are part of their marketing strategy and made UAD plugins more affordable and available for many more new customers.

As far as the Distressor for example - it's real value is around full price. But when you can get it cheaper you just take the offer.

In the end it's a win-win situation.

 

do you work for them? because what youre saying is full price is constantly changing, ive watched and peeped their game. when i bought the plugin it was "marked down" from its "full price" of $199, now its $299; but just a couple months ago, it was $99 with no "marked down" crossed out price. ive been following them for a while and "full price" is constantly changing - my point is the actual value cant be determined objectively, to see if its actually a deal; and if they could give 44 plugins, that would normally be $299 separately, for that much, it would be a loss; that doesnt make sense from a business stand point

but my point is, the way they market is to make it always seem like youre getting a deal, and i wouldnt fall for that, i bought the original plugin because i wanted it; regardless of price at the time; now having it wouldnt pay $299 - but theyre always going to do that and all of those plugins are unnecessary to get a beautiful mix, in my asked opinion

 

No, I don't work for UA. If I did I'd have shitload of money and all plugins & hardware for free.

I really don't understand these kind of overthinking. I feel I'm just waisting my time now but here we go:

Up until recently most people were "ooh UAD plugins are sooo overrated! Apollos are just big dongles! Sharc chips are ancient and underpowered! We want UAD plugins as native, make it happen already! Make UAD plugins cheaper!"

Now those same people are able to get UAD native plugins for very low price and once they do they're all over social networks posting pics and bragging how they use top-tier UAD plugins. Yaaaay!

But wait! If UA listened to customers wishes there must be something wrong with it! Why are they so cheap now? Fuck UAD!

The market is constantly changing and pricing too. Either get with best price so far or not. It's that simple.

 

Tbh I wasnt thinking it about budget or pricewise of these bundle.... I just bought it now and i feel like I grabed 44 plugins per 6.8 usd each... Within time I will have conclusion if 6.8 usd worth per their plugin

 

disagree but youre clearly a fanboy, which is okay i mean; im just speaking from my perspective - if you feel like you need to defend them and your decision to support them, thats youre own shit dude that i couldnt care less about

 

well, my point is more about not letting marketing manipulate you, into buying stuff you dont actually need to mix and master high quality music - but you got it so, have a blast i guess

 

my opinion of universal audio has not changed. great plugin's, completely shitty company (didn't used to be like that)... make your choice - it's yours to make. BUT when UAD finally gets released to the scene, expect some snickers when we see you selling the account
