There's actually more than seems evident. UAD, Spitfire engine, some Softube and several others..... I agree there is an abundance of what anyone may need, but maybe what they want is not in them.

 

Music doesn't "require" software.

One can play a piano or guitar or drums.

Or, just whistle, hum or sing.

Good call, sincerely think you missed the whole point of sister site in first place and developed unhealthy habit and expectations because of that.

So in the end, instead of rewarding developers who didn't went for draconian protections, you ended up rewarding those who did, which make whole warez thing pointless and proves their point, that it doesn't drive the sales, that it serves freeloaders and that draconian protections are valid ones.

Point of sister site is to reduce GAS, buyers remorse, giving extended trials to people, so that people don't rush into spending their hard earned money, making whole playing field much even, ultimately rewarding those folks who provide them best bang for their buck, enjoy official support from them and contribute to their development.

Sincerely wish you would put this into perspective and continue rewarding folks who deserve that from now on, you had a go with their software, found value in it, teams that released that software did it on that premise, try before you buy, now it's your turn to do the right thing, get rid of that unhealthy obsession on the way.

IMHO, if you're in or out of AudioZ and Audiosex, depending of what is released or not, you took the right decision.

For me as a member, both sites are interesting to read experience and opinions of other members about different vst and DAWs, much more than to download.
If it was only to download, there are countless sites without comments.

 

As a hobby psych, I think I understand what this is:
The person who wants to leave is not sure whether they will succeed. That's why they put themselves under pressure by publicly announcing their intention.
That makes the return embarrassing.

And of course this is also a sign of courtesy
