It's not really folk, folks, but it is techno-like and I did use an acoustic guitar library (Kontakt) which I've heavily modified. I made this thing today. I kinda like it, but then I'm invested in it. Is it dumb? Is it worth more time? Thanks for hollering!

PS. The beginning and end are incomplete.

this is like a little kid who wants to grow up to be a trance song, but the dad is like, "no! youre gonna be techno, no son of mine..." lol

its an okay foundation though; you could build it into a mansion or cabin or whatever from here, theres so much you could do with this. only thing id suggest is play more, fuck with it and experiment, have curiosity and wonder. right now it shows a base understanding of EDM and it sounds okay; which is fine i guess, but thats kind of the bare minimum of songwriting

but it sounds aight; id say fill this trance childs head with imagination, should be fun

I love the intro, wish you went in other direction afterwards. Melodic techno bit really isn't working for me here, dunno, maybe I'm too fatigued with the genre at this point, those festival EDM influences just put me off mostly, these days I find whole Deep/Raw/Hypnotic Trance much better variation of whole concept, like throwing anything you like on a trance track. Dunno, if you aren't fixated on whole melodic techno and actually enjoy in trance, just push in that direction totally.

I think Zfe Allemagnes have been experimenting with the same conjunction of their local folk (polka and oom-pah) with their beloved hardstyle/techno. It bears exploration but it seems to always tilt on way or another the blend is still a work in progress.

I rather enjoyed this attempt by Atze Ton but you need to get pretty cerebral to find the polka in the techno.

    hi mate,
i really liked the intro. the main part has got a nice groove but the brassy sound doesn't do it for me.
now, an old school trance track with that same intro and a kick slowing coming in that sits there for 6-7 minutes might do it for me :D
have a great rest of the day cheers

I like the progression a lot. The track is worth finishing IMO.
