I run A MacBook Pro M1 ProX with a high speced i7 windows Nuc as the server. I have my old 2018 Macbook pro i7 and I wanted to run that as an additional server, but I can't get it going either. Apparently, it can be done. I will give it a go and let you know..

I hope the latency is fast enough for livestream.

I have issue visual c++ with some plugins during the scanning they're saying "runtime has requested to terminate in an unusual way"
And then they're red in plugin list of audiogridder server
    Any workaround for this

to use multiple sever machine rename the server, usually on first machine name the server from 0 to 1 (0-1). second machine rename from 2 to 3 (2-3) than on the main daw system you will see and choose between 4 server named 0123 in AG plugins , you can define each one for fx, instrument , and so on

I am having problems to run Audiogridder 1.2 on OSX with both of my machines.

    Server (Macbook with Mojave 10.14.4)
and Plugin Tray (Hackintosh with Mojave 10.14.6)

On the Macbook, nothing will start. Neither the Tray nor the Server app. No icons in the system tray or the lower right sight of the dock. Just nothing. Batchmod didn't help.

On the Hackintosh, the Plugin Tray starts for 4 seconds (I can see the icon on the system tray), then closes/crashes without any errors.

Any idea what this is meaning?

Just realised that the Icon on the tray will open as soon as I load a AGridder plugin in my DAW. Thats nice.

So the only issue is my Server machine which simply will not start the Server app. When I restart my machine and run the Server app, I can see it loading all of my plugins. After that procedure is finished, no interface or Icons remain. Everything closes and I cannot restart the Server untill restarting my machine. I assume, the App might be running in the background as I can see a task in the activity monitor, but how can I access it and create a server to connect to like that?

hoping someone can help. i have mac studio, and mb pro. trying to use the pro as the server, and run the plugin on the studio. Connected via ethernet, connection says all is good.

When i open the plugin in ableton, with just ONE track, and only the AG plugin on, it recognizes the mbpro server just fine, and i can load a plugin just fine as well, and tweak it from the mac studio, butttttt, ableton immediately goes schizo on me and jumps up to 180%cpu, so its un-useable. as soon as i turn off AG plugin, ableton is back down to 1%. i should mention this happens with JUST the AG plug, it doesnt even need anything loaded in it for this to happen. any idea?

is there a certain type of ethernet cable i need? Im using CAT7 ten foot cable, direct out of my mac studio, into ethernet to usb C into the mbpro.

ive tried changing buffer setting in the AG plugin as well as within ableton. is there something im missing?!?

    Any help greatly appreciated!!

the CAT7 cable could be creating an issue for you. You really want to use a CAT5 "like kind" cable. It's also sometimes called a Crossover cable. It shouldn't even matter theoretically anymore. But I have mentioned this to a number of users on here who have had problems with the client/server machines "seeing" one another and it has fixed their problem. It's also in their help documents. If you had a network switch available instead of a hub to put between the machines; that is similar to what a like-kind ethernet cable is doing anyway. The symptoms do not sound like this is the issue, but you asked about cable type.

If you continue to have the problems, I would try it using Logic on both machines. That way you can rule out any problems caused within Ableton settings.

you can also connect them via wifi, just to test the software settings with the wired networking mostly eliminated as causes of problems. the performance will make it basically useless to run that way, but it will successfully connect and "function". Current/modern ethernet ports should not need a crossover cable; but if your macbook pro is like mine, it has no onboard ethernet card so that throws your thunderbolt3/usb hub with ethernet port in as another variable. It probably does not function as a switch. Here's a more succinct document with the pinout for the crossover cable: https://community.fs.com/blog/patch-cable-vs-crossover-cable.html :)

Anyone got a fix for why it's only available in mono on M1 Native in Logic Pro?

I'm sorry if it's been covered, but simple question:
Can I run my main Mac with two different servers, one server on another computer AND another server on said main Mac? Because my other computer doesn't have the storage capacity to hold all of the plugins I'd like to use via AG.

If so, having ALL of the plugins downloaded on the main Mac (hopefully second server) won't mess anything up with trying to use the plugins on the other computer/server right? (Some of the plugins are the same kind, just obviously another copy).

    Thank you

I tried Audiogridder this week but crashed on start up. I guess it doesn't like Windows 11 much.

Blue Cat Audio's Patchwork with Connector is much more stable and latency was barely noticeable.

I've tried the latest 1.2.0 and was only able to get 4 plugin instances running, after that I was seeing CPU spikes in the client host (Ableton) and getting large audio dropouts.

So I tried 1.1.1 instead and was able to get almost unlimited instances (I stopped at about 50 or so). These all worked (albeit with massive latency) perfectly until render time. Offline render produced a file that did not match up to the session at all. In fact it was truncated. I appreciate 50 plugins in series is a little overkill but it showed this offset problem very well.

Are you using two computers? Or the same computer with virtual machine?

    Hi there.
Has anyone found out a way to enable navigation of a plug-in with the arrow buttons?
In Kontakt standalone, I can use the up and down arrow to navigate my file folder, but in AudioGridder, I cannot seem to get it to work.
    I'm on Mac (Sonoma)
    Thanks.
