UVI has announced the release a stunning and one-of-a-kind collection of hand-made glass instruments revealing an otherworld of ethereal, mysterious, and wholly unique sounds and timbres.

An ode to the lifelong passion of master craftsman Jean-Claude Chapuis, and his singular ensemble at the prestigious Philharmonie de Paris, Glass Orchestra delivers 14 exquisitely crafted and expertly sampled instruments, recorded in numerous playing styles, and presented in an expansive sound design environment with native MPE support.

Delicate to thunderous, angelic to atonal, and a true embodiment of the unconventional, Glass Orchestra offers an incredible range of sounds, rich with inspiration and creative possibility for musicians, producers, and sound designers alike. Discover 14 hand-crafted instruments including the Gamelan, Glass Bells, Seraphin, Cristal Baschet, Marimba, Harp, Glass Armonica, Cymbal Bells, Verrophone, Chimes, Tympanon, Balafon, Carillon, and Triangle, each available in multiple playing styles ranging from traditional to experimental.

Glass Orchestra comes with a choice selection of 400+ hand-crafted presets built from a library of over 75,000 samples. Glass Orchestra’s creative architecture includes powerful tone sculpting thanks to 3 mixable microphones, familiar synth-style amplitude and filter controls with True Release, deep internal modulation, inspiring macro and bus effects, and a featured arpeggiator/phrasor, giving you everything you need to shape the included sounds to taste, or design your very own from scratch.

Glass Orchestra for Falcon and the free UVI Workstation is available with a special introductory price of $129 USD / 129 EUR through February 5th, 2024 (regular 199 USD/EUR).

It does sound beautiful but not sure how practical it would be for the music I make. I'm sure it can be tweaked especially in Falcon and I'm curious to hear what kind of pads/atmospherics I could design with it. Love everything but the price, might have to pick this up when it goes on sale.
