    it is found under C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3\ACUSTICA

folder, in there there are many many encrypted files, and seems to be from a freeware plugin but it might be more... mine is 5.11 Gb full of folders with files from various dates... its quite suspicious to me

    what do you think?

common files are the files the acustica plugins use i believe, the samples / IR's. not sure tho, as coral baxter is a pretty small suite.

it very much does look like it is some sort of log reporting tool, but short of doing packet captures while it runs, there's not really any way for us to know what it does, except that if acustica does things legally the licensing agreement should specify what sort of data it collects

if it were me, I'd just rename it, I doubt it'd crash things if it were missing

I'm full legit! ...I find this very very strange coming from a legit bought plugin, that makes a folder with 5Gb of logs, all encrypted!

they are .N2K files, encrypted ...in every folder can be from 50 to more than 1100 files, folders are named named like this; 0449600008204425_620870644401 ; 0449600008217821_6208706415376 ...

    this is VERY STRANGE !

I don't have strong feelings about acustica like some around here, but that mess is fucking ridiculous and should not be how software is written

That is completely unacceptable. I wonder how many other Acustica users don't realize that is happening.

so, I just discovered every 6 seconds it creates that .N2K file whether you use it or not, it just needs to be loaded, 12 files every minute, if you disable it it stops and as soon as its being enabled it creates another folder ...and the creation of those files

I followed your suggestions and renamed that folder, after I loaded it into a new project, it started to create that same folder and same files as I said above ...why would I need a folder like that I dont know, for me log is spying ...but maybe I'm wrong, after all the plugin had 4 buttons, what is to log? and why? hy the log filed would be encrypted?

maybe @giancarlo del sordo could step in and tell us what is that!

I've got several AA pluggies but not a single N2K file in my whole system. Maybe because I haven't installed their VST3 versions?
Oh, and the CoralBaxter installation is just 270MB.
So this looks very strange. If you're all legit with AA, I'd at least try to ask them.

its strange, i cant find the "acustica" folder in my VST3 folder. I use vst3 as well, mac, but still. All i have are the various folders for each plugin. No central Acustica folder. maybe its located somewhere else on mac
