I've noticed that some people are able to sell/trade/donate their entire Plugin-Alliance account, i.e., account take-over. What's the best way to do this? At present, the account is listed under my email. Thanks for any advice. I wanted to ask HOW before I create a For Sale thread.

Reason: I have an eye disorder that is forcing me to slowly but surely abandon working extensively on my computer, which of course includes working on a DAW, using plugins. My recent surgery helped with distance, but made near sight worse. Hence, I am selling-off whatever I can to put towards "real" instruments and limit my screen time.

i don't think you can sell or have your account taken over just like that. Your plugins are linked to your ilok account and there will be a fee to transfer the licenses. fro my understanding you would need to give over your plugin alliance account login and passowrd and your ilok account details also. Whats been happening on here are people selling registration codes for products. how they get them, your guess is as good as mine.
Anyone reading this please feel free to corrct me. This is a very good qustion as if it can be done then I may sell mine too

 

Plugin-Alliance don't use ilok.

I received confirmation via another source that an account take-over is very doable. It only requires that the buyer trusts the seller and they work together to transition the email and account info. There have been scams related to this, but I am Tommy Zai! ;-) Honorable to a fault!

My eyesight has got to the point where my distance glasses are unusable for DAW work, but my (prescription) reading glasses work well. I believe you can get prescription 'computer' glasses too. I'd give one of those options a try, they may make using your DAW easier again, I also have custom scaling so everythings bigger and have my music PC at 1080p as some plugins are tiny on 4k and not resizeable

 

I think whenever you take an acccount for such a thing, it's smart to never register it using your own email but rather make a new email for it that forwards to your email. Then if you want to sell such an account, you can just sell the email adress with it without hassle. Then no one can even see it has been transfered at all.
