I've managed to load libraries one by one but please don't tell me that I need to go one by one for adding all my libraries. Isn't there a way to select the root folder where I have all my libraries and install all of them at once? Thanks!

Can you please let me know how the Library Creator Company can be changed after a library has been already linked/created, as some 3rd party libraries that have Library Creator Company called Kontakt show up in a Library thumbnail Kontakt in the main thumbnail view. Some 3rd party libraries who got their company name "right" have received their right thumbnail photos.

i did follow your advise and used the one from ruTra. Same SNPID 422 for this one.
I tried on an old laptop with previou sos to use Kontakt 5.6, same issue : "this library hasn't been installed..." when I try top open an instrument.
Not far to give up -))

Hey @Fred Bloggs. Thanks for your continued work. Yeah, I'm having this same issue I was having way back in the earlier days of V1 where each time I open KLU, it spends ages scanning the libraries again. Can't figure out why this seems to be happening only for me and no one else...

Okay, so I'm not the only one curious about this. I've got about that many errors showing on my end for iZotope, Arturia, U-he, etc. So, I'm guessing it's not completely abnormal. I don't think it's causing any real issues, though.

One way to avoid this sort of thing is to add, for example, "Waves" (without the quotes), to the exceptions list.
Another way will be to wait for my update 2.xx which I'm working on and, among many other things, I'm making the initial search much more targeted

@DarkKnight What can I say Your computer is KLUphobic !
I optimized scanning to a maximum in V2. I can only think that something in your Kontakt library setup is messed up and blocking KLU for a reason that I haven't catered for !
My first tendency would be to tell you that if your libraries are working normally, leave well alone ! "If it ain't broke, don't fix it".
On the other hand, my curious nature would push me to suggesting you remove half of your Service Center folder content (no matter what, just half!), and launch KLU again and see if that changes anything regarding speed. If it does, you're onto a winner ! If not, put that half back and remove the other half, then try KLU again. If neither of these tests give anything, then I'm really stumped ! KLU does not look at invisible files.
The reason I suggest to target the SC folder is that that is where KLU starts it's inspection, by scanning for would-be installed libraries in there. That's what Kontakt does itself. If you take the xml files out of there, the libraries, although not uninstalled, do not appear anymore to KLU (or to Kontakt), and KLU will (obviously?) not try any further tests on that library.
Oh! And if removing half the content DOES make a difference, then you have a problem with something in the other half ! Put aside the "good" half and continue with one half of the supposedly bad half. Keep whittling it down like that to hopefully find a culprit.

WARNING !!! REPLACING A NICNT FILE THAT IS LARGER THAN 520Kb will very likely destroy other resources stored in the NICNT file such as wallpapers and library pictures etc… SO DON'T !!!! It's unlikely that a NICNT file in which the creator stores resources would get "Name" and "Creator" tags wrong anyway, but DO check what you're dealing with ! You have been warned !
If not, it's actually quite strait forward, but you do need to replace the NICNT file if you use KLU.
Drop your library folder on the NICNT utilities window of KLU.
If the library is installed, uninstall it.
If in the resulting display you are seeing something like :
Library name : Library Creator Company - Our wonderful library
Library creator company : Kontakt
Then the NICNT has been mis-created, either by KLU, you or the library creator. Just change the information to what you need such as :
Library name : Our wonderful library
Library creator company : Library Creator Company
… then, if you want to keep the original SNPID, click the little padlock to lock it, and click Replace/Create NICNT.
If the library was uninstalled, reinstall it. It will appear correctly.

Not for the moment with KLU. It is something I'm working on in KLU 2.xx but requires KLU to have access to your admin password. I am adding a function for users to be able to add KLU to their Mac Keychain which is very secure and would avoid having to resort to the programme having to handle the security. I did do this internally, in an early utility I created but I was never very happy about it ! Keychain is the way forward !
In the meantime, there is a "Kitty" script that WILL do this. These scripts get round the problem by asking the user for their password and pumping it straight into the terminal, which does all the heavy lifting ! The terminal will, theoretically and assuming the default value hasn't been changed, store your password for 20 minutes - plenty of time to parse your libraries and do the installations.
Although KLU does make use of the speed of the terminal for many operations, it does not rely on it entirely as do the Kitty scripts. It does however because of this, install libraries more reliably (if not more tediously for the moment) than Kitty scripts do

 

@Fred Bloggs Does v2 supposed to work on macOS 13/14, that is Ventura/Sonoma?

Maybe anyone else tested it for it?
I've run into issues with Ventura in the past.

 

I think you should try it, rather than wait for someone to confirm it. you aren't going to 100% know something works until you try it anyway.
If you are worried about it overwriting, just move the old folder/app as a backup. It's either going to work, or it's not. You could "downgrade" back in only a few minutes anyway.
