not really sure but it's kinda the site's rule to separate the content/releases so the search function respond correctly, as the search function at the sister's site only search through the title of the post. It won't search "word match" through the content of the post. There are a lot of reason for why it was designed that way that you probably don't understand just yet. Let's just say it's the middle ground between serving the user/members and the DCMA. The other ones being to avoid double posts and better archiving for the future needs. Other site that copied stuff from sister's site act weirder for the same reason, you can't even search a dev name for example. They bundled stuff together, but impossible to find if you don't know the exact word to search as it will return null for dev name search. That's more annoying IMO.

ok, so i actually downloaded some of them, and they are great, a majority of them are ripped from vinyl, so not useable. Buttt, there are some that are original compositions. I downloaded some, found them to be good. Unique, interesting, useable samples to chop up. I went to their website, and found them all on sale for 2$ so i bought 10 or so of the royalty free packs.

The breaks are great as well. authentic, grimy breaks.

 

So tired of seeing their releases flood the site.

I actually posted a warning on one of the Amen packs after noticing their ripped off artwork. The samples are legally very dodgy as well. Want star wars samples? you got 'em.

Man I hate lazy bottom feeder producers like this.

No, they are unlicensed film and comic covers. Samples are ripped off as well. Totally dodgy.

 

Samples are hit or miss...some are pretty good. Goes with anything on the site really...you don't like the abundance of sample packs, I don't like the redundant "cracked" plugins for the same nonsense, posted over and over and over....for years this has gone on. At least with sample packs the content is not the same each time. Goes both ways.

 

You can use the "Audioz Post Filter" script on Tampermonkey to filter out categories or keywords. Strips out stuff like this. Very handy

 

Just let it go. Soon all the packs will have gone through.

 

especially historically with funk ,rare groove , and obscure 40's to 80's eclectic genres . theres been a rise the last 10 years of uncredited crate dig loop packs with bare minimum effort of even using actual vinyl to make them .
this is one of the things that is often forgotten about in the oversaturated sample pack digital world vs physical cd and floppy/sd sample eras.

personally i think its a good thing their stuff is being flooded much like cymatics wall of preset churn mill packs

 

I do think finding old rare loops is awesome but without watertight licencing even pirated they are basically useless. Selling unlicensed samples is just taking advantage of how clueless many beat makers are.

Frankly, I don't know why i even care, I loath the whole beats culture, but still this cynical sample stealing irks me.

I have a love affair with pre 2000's sample libraries as they are far more interesting personally, but they are becoming a minefield these days, your sample might get id flagged in old tracks or its a famous track loop you'll have to pay for now.

i see it as rather disingenuous because of the sheer amount of material that's on archive org for free , or found on soulseek people have put effort into preserving with as much information as possible just for someone to fire up a daw or wav editor then poot out product for money with blatant vagueness .

its like me firing up vst4free , grabbing something then being like..."uh inspired by og multi distortion ..but buy this for 40 bucks"
and its literally just this with a green gui and vst3 now called sigma force


the rest is pure marketing with no transparency

 

Maybe a fake DCMA takedown notice would work for you

These packs get scraped from Reddit, particularly r/boombapcounty. Anyone can check it out and download what they will (though usually with pixeldrain or sendgb links, not rapidgator etc). Several of these were even bought and paid for by yours truly (hi!). Not sure why they all have to be picked up and reposted at the sister site, honestly. They're freely available. Then again, there's also a free section. And the links at sister site will potentially live longer. Anyway, you can filter your results at sister site. No need to disparage users who might be looking for some "strange" material ;) Meanwhile, the Reddit fellas are in complete agreement with you. They do not enjoy having their packs picked up and re-posted at sister site. Perhaps message Fantastic and the others and ask them not to post from Reddit? Maybe Reddit should be Reddit and Audioz... well you get it. Not likely to happen. It's clear from reading this thread that sister site is not - shall we say - the target audience for Boom Bap Labs.

... I have to admit, it's amusing to see that while Reddit users are endlessly irked by audioz grabbing all their stuff, audioz users are turning up their noses at all this premium content It's hard to say, but I'm guessing their frustration could even outweigh yours. They bought this stuff after all.
