What is the best Kontakt strings library for these kind of music in your opinion?

And another question: what string articulation is the best for these fast runs?

 

The characteristic of those repetitions is usually of staccato nature. Some librarys have repetition as an articulation option.
In baroque interpretations often spiccato is used as an articulation. That would be those 8th notes from 1:12 on for example.

It's simply short notes.


Berlin strings is suitable for everything if used correctly.

AFFLATUS Chapter I Strings was made with classical music (amongs others) in mind. This is best suitable for this kind of music.

 

nothing comes close to simulate this kinda spiccatto realism imho.

Impact Soundworks - Tokyo Scoring Strings is the best I have, but you need at least 16gb ram for 1 ensemble track.

 

Thanks, I was afraid of that. All the Vivaldi "vsti covers" I've heard are very far, and I have a lot of string libraries, but I think all of them are for mainly modern scoring.
Anyway, I will try also Spitfire Chamber Strings... however in a video I've seen that staccato, spiccato or any short articulations are not really the best for these kind of runs (?).

 

LASS. All day long. Choose smaller instrument B or C groups (4 violins, 2 viola, etc) and layer them with the 1st chair players.

 

I agree with Trurl. LASS and its new iteration MSS is one of better offerings for this type of work among others besides Berlin strings
Dry raw sound

Spitfire offerings are great for cinematic work not the best option for classical.
In fact IMHO their BBSCO is better in terms of classical composition.

Alternatively check out Synchron Strings from VSL.
But sadly it has its own ensemble engine not KONTAKT.
