Not at all, they make the worst releases on the sister site and shouldn't be considered

I can't tell if the OP and ChrisJames are being facetious or what but I was going to do the same and say something like "oh hell nah, they're totally narcs" but I thought this might be a serious post. So older R2R stuff can be a pain, especially if its a bundle and you have to use a kg and register each item, but as far as safety and reliability you can't beat R2R - or VR for that matter. I forget to scan alot of their stuff from sister most of the time these days. If sister has the release listed as coming from them, and not P2P I'd almost bet my kidney a virus scan is a waste of time. Honestly any of the teams that consistently dump things to sister site are legit. Definitely do due diligence and most certainly be sus of anything that is P2P (i dont avoid these but I do scrutinize a little more, i wait until theres a good amount of comments from people who have also used it, virus scan, etc) and treat it like it may be some BS.

R2R does great work, not just for broke ass musicians but for the community because they will go toe to toe with shitty devs and have actually agitated change for the better. They are a worldwide treasure and must be protected at all costs.

because they know which ones "people really want". you might even guess that the more popular a release is, the more submissions they will get. it's an example of correlation vs causation, though. you could even suggest a releaser may be more tempted to tamper with a highly sought after file rather than wasting an exploit or new malware variant on a more minor release. but this is how conspiracy theories often work. they would at least wait until there is an AAX version to put it in.

Guys, please, read the title again.
Op is not asking if you think that R2R releases are infected. He is asking which ones are the most interesting and worth downloading.
Like for music if you understand what I mean?
So please, let's keep it that way.
If you want to show off your knowledge about viruses, please, feel free to create your own thread.

my workflow did not change much, so anything that I would download are updates.
mostly the ridiculous expensive or subscription based plugins, in 16 years I managed to buy a lot I first tested extensively.

I would say that R2R has done an excellent job with the many updates this year. Especially the iLok ones.

So without knowing anything about you or your music, and if some stranger asked me if they could only get a few things, what should they get I would say the recent XLN stuff, I was really excited about RC-20. But I mean worth implies value which implies cost and someone is saving me money by donating their time to make my music experience better and I appreciate it and that was the only reason I replied how I did, I am just a stupid American and English my only language so I kinda have to take it at full face value with not much the refer to for interpretation. But yeah grab that XLN set, I actually own Addictive Keys and Addictive Drums and R2R version is smaller in RAM and quicker...

I have to say I prefer releases by TCD, Moria and Mocha to R2R. If there's a choice - and sometimes the same plugin is released by both teams (e.g. the loudness compressor) - I'd go for the TCD one because R2R generally uses a keygen but TCD doesn't.

I always run keygens in a sandbox, but it's another stage in the installation. What I like to see in the .nfo is "just install".

But R2R certainly release a good number of plugins!

I think that image of Stereo Savage being captured was pretty funny. But does anyone think he does not have all or most of this software given to him for free/endorsement? It would bolster r2r statements about their versions running better, anyway; because he would be choosing their version over the other. That would actually illustrate their point more than if he was just trying to not pay for something.

That quoted statement obviously is not the "whole truth". But I wonder if those repeating that quote are not getting out the pitchforks a little too early. Most people will opt for an available optimized app or plugin.

For me personally, UVI Falcon 3 was huge and is something I use regularly. Also, the Joey Sturgis Tones stuff has been very useful to me. I grabbed most of the Acustica plugins when they hit the site, however, I have yet to install any of them - so I don't have much of an opinion tbh. Aside from that, I'm not much of a 'constant update' kind of guy. So I get more excited by the stuff that is entirely new or a significant enough update.

I find the Steinberg line of software (you can even use the original files wit their crack) & UVI Falcon (you can convert any lib with their tool) their masterpieces.

Obviously, as you dont explain anything about what music you do, or how you do it, it's my personal opinion based on what I do.

Fabfilter plugins. Because they are easy, fast and reliable.

Uhe Diva Because it's one of the best sounding synth actually.

Valhalla DSP Valhalla VintageVerb , One of the best reverbs.

Overloud Gem Voice, very useful for tracking.

XLN Audio Addictive Drums 2 Complete, Sound good, easy to use drums.

( I need to make time to try Falcon, but it's so complicated if you want to create your own sounds... )

    All of them of course

But they cant all fit into your mix so you need to decide which ones you want to go with. I am sure this comment was very useful
