Hi.

I have lately experienced crackling noises whenever using Studio One at around 15 minutes usage and more. Could this be a time bomb issue? Anyone else experienced the same?

Are you sure your crackling noises doesn't come from any of your tracks?
Also, check the crackling noises are not made by any plugins

 

check the buffer size too and all that stuff ! and when u consider that maybe the problem its gone, dont go, try to charge your cpu a little and change the buffer size again

 

Are there any differences between cracked versions vs original license? Any benefits?

Could be becouse of the AA Plugins you use @ 48khz
What i have understood is that Reaper is more capable for Mastering with AA.
So in other words... Use Studio One @ 44.1, then render the tracks to 96kHz, and master it in Reaper with AA.
AA = @ 44.1 - 96 kHz.
So make your song with bla, and when done render the stems for mastering to 96kHz, then import it
in Reaper and Master the session.

 

That doll shows up if you start Studio One late at night, as a reminder that you are working late.

 

The doll is easy to get rid of permanently until the next update. Just right click on the Studio One icon on your desktop and click on open file location and the presonus installation folder located on your C: drive will automatically open. Scroll down to find the Scripts folder, double click to open it and you will see a list of scripts. Scroll down and select "voodoo script" at the bottom and delete this script then exit the presonus folder completely. Then delete it from the recycle bin and that's it. You will have to repeat this process everytime you install a new update of studio one.
