I have pick any 6 plugins voucher from Plugin Alliance coming up. What should i pick? What would you pick and why?

I already have a billion plugins lol, so i dont really NEED anything, but im curious to what people would pick. Whats your favorites from them? Slept on gems? Go to work horses etc...

 

i really like the Vertigo Compressor , the Town House Bus Compressor , Shadow Hills is my favorite !
EQ - Amek the big one

 

Purple Audio MC77 - the best plugin in the entire collection, the best 1176 style comp in a plugin form, beat Warm Audio 1176 in a shootout video on youtube
ADPTR MetricAB - the best reference plugin ever made in history of referencing
LTL SILVER BULLET mk2 - the best bus processor in the collection. Super versatile, huge color palette.
Vertigo VSC2 - the best bus compressor in the collection, it has a sound
Ampeg B15N - the best bass amp sim ever for mixing. not for playing.
bx_console SSL 9000 J - the best channel strip in the collection. versatile too. pop/commercial sounding.
NEOLD U2A - one of the best sounding (to my ear) LA2A style compressor ever
elysia nvelope - the bestest ever quick 2 band transient designer, my go-to for yeaaars

Worth Considering
Lindell 69 Channel - there's an ADR Compex in it, good sounding too, slamming
Lindell SBC - pretty real sounding 2500, has that dusty feelings of a 2500, I think you know what I mean
Black Box Analog Design HG-2MS - boring plugin, but hard to make it sound bad
Friedman DS40 - I really like this amp sim, sweet sounding, but if you're a metalhead, walk away
Shadow Hills Class A Mastering Comp - it makes you feel special even when you're not

 

MC77, MetricAB, SSL J, HG2MS are all solid choices.
Other good ones, Lisa, Amek 200, Sculpt, Amek 9099, Lindell 50/80, Townhouse, or take your pick.

I second Shadow Hills Class A Mastering Comp. The reason is compelling.

 

Shadow Hills and Amek are must haves... I really like the Lindell stuff too (especially the de-esser). Have not used the Purple, need to try it.

I love that de-esser. Most of their plugins actually, but yah that de-esser is great. I for some reason never really gave the purple a shot. I have it in my current sub bundle, ill have to give it a proper run before the sub expires.

I have shadow hills and one of the ameks i think. Im pretty sure i got the shadow hills for free, some promo from izotope or something like that. Its a great plugin.

 

My top 12 in alphabetical order

1. 902 De-Esser (One of the best sounding de-essers, but still not for everything)
2. AMEK 9099 (HUGE drum / bass sounds. Mike Dean is a big fan of the Amek EQ. Nice THD.)
3. BIG AL (Very nice bass saturation / tones including for 808's)
4. EQ232D (Best "clean" Pultec style EQ on the market. Great on busses / mixbus)
5. LISA (Advanced EQ that can't really be imitated in sound or saturation. Includes transformer drive.)
6. Natalus DSCEQ (GREAT transformer saturation)
7. PQ (Extends the low end in a way that no other EQ plugin does. Assuming due to the hardware having a 120V rail. My friend has a hardware PQ and it does the exact same thing as the plugin to the low end.)
8. SA2RATE 2 (one of my favorite non tube saturation units, great tone, has transformers)
9. SILVER BULLET mk2 (Fantastic bus processor, but the standout feature to me is actually the ASPECT RATIO button at the very end of the plugin. "musically enhances your mix's stereo width, height, and clarity, providing subtle and controlled image enhancement.")
10. Soma (Fantastic sounding eq, rock solid saturation)
11. SSL 9000 J (Sounds much cleaner, more open, rounder, more extended than other channel strips. Filters go way low and way high.)
12. Vac Attack (Quite possibly the one PA plugin that has the most pleasant tube saturation of ALL of them. Holy shit is it a good vocal and bus comp.)

Unfiltered Audio - well, all of it for FX, apart from Dent/Indent which aren't that special to me, but especially Sandman Pro and SpecOps
bx_oberhausen - A really think analog emulation, kinda, of Oberheim sound, tweakable but not too confusing so it's direct to the point
The Amek EQ's are nice
