If you download the page for offline reference it is about 1GB in size, no wonder it takes so long to load.

im confused. Coffee has no additional sample rate packs in aquarius. Its just the one download. R2R said the released plugins are not trial versions, but i look on aquarius and indeed the trial is about half the size of the main download, meaning all freq packs are included in the full download. Same with taupe. No additional sample rate packs for download.

 

I'm having trouble of updating the thread about this matter because I don't know for sure about what's going on. I don't even know how many plugins have Frequency Pack, or why some of the plugin never even have them. Shouldn't every single one of them have it ? Also, why R2R never say anything about the Frequency Pack, whether they have it or need the supply or anything. Pretty sure few people already tried to contact them and offering to supply the Frequency Pack or 48/88 vector file they have. Assuming that all these releases weren't based on a trial, it means they already have access to every single full commercial release of them all, but why no Frequency Pack included for the releases of old plugins except for the Freebie ones (BLACK, CORAL BAXTER, COFFEE THE PUN). All they said in NFO is AA plugins tend to create problem working on 48/88 but I bet half of it caused by no vector file for that particular sample rate.

I've used legit versions of the older plugins including Coffee, Pink, Gainstation, etc. They all come with the 48khz vectors baked into the legit download from Aquarius. Green 4 was one plugin that did have a separate frequency pack for 48khz, but I don't think it was a common thing.

 

Looks like the witches released the freebie Coffe The Pun that:

1. its a quite old freebie (I think 3-4 years or so)
2. seems to be working in all sample rates
3. Stevie did put in this thread as starting image eheheh: a sign? they read us? lol

Anyhow, I think that this release could help to clarify a couple of things

 

yeah, most official (non trial) releases in aquarius have all frequencies as part of the download. There are just a few suites that require additional freq pack installations. Most trials, if not all, are the limited frequency packs.

 

I think they do, you could be one of them , blending in ? who knows. lol.

COFFEE THE PUN is awesome btw, I think it's my most used AA plugin ever. Had a phase when it's on almost every track.

I think they've added to the full release the moment a plugin gets an update. Those that have it separately probably never got an update since. If there's a reason R2R deliberately didn't include them, what would it be huh ? couldn't think of one.

Yeah I was gonna say, I've been an Acustica customer since late 2019 and I've never once downloaded a frequency pack. I've never even seen a "frequency pack" avail for download or heard news of the release of one. I didn't hear of the existence of frequency packs until these recent R2R releases.

Either I'm blind & deaf and I've been using Acustica with missing sample rates for years, or years of beers has ruined my memory, or it was something that only existed before my time following them.

I'm fairly certain it's the latter. That's what makes me believe the R2R releases are trial versions, but I have no idea really

I don't understand their presets system tbh. They have presets only on some specific plugins and I don’t even understand the pattern by which they select plugins that will contain presets. Presets button always in different places, most of presets AI generated (?), user can't save their own presets. Maybe im just stupid or miss something, but i trying to understand AA logic

 

very few suites have addtl freq packs, the majority of them are baked into the full version of the plugin. If you look on aquarius, say, Taupe for example, there are two downloads. Taupe and Taupe Trial. If you look at the size for the two , Taupe trial is significantly smaller, meaning its missing the freq packs. I think R2R's releases are trials as well, as i cannot imagine another explanation as to why the releases would be missing the freq's. Unless maybe they deleted them for some reason while repacking. I think they stated they werent trials tho, so ???? Idk. dont really care either, just trying to help clear things up for members here.

 

Really at the end of the day we can only speculate on whether they were sourced from trials. Would be interesting to see some tests of R2R vs legit in say plugin doctor or the like. Too bad Acustica doesn't do the simple 'About' function that shows version number like nearly every other plug does.

 

At least Pink4/Gainstation1 are very likely to be trial versions. They have "T" suffixes in plugin names which AA use for trial versions. For other plugin we can only speculate, yes.

 

This issue with coffee comp broken meters has been fixed in the legit pack about 3 weeks ago

 

Also, on my system, Gold5 channelstrip, going from 2x OS to 4x or other way makes no change. The rest work
