As Nexus 3 won't work with Live in windows 8 comp. mode (mcdsp only loads it's vst3 version with Live on win.8 comp. mode)...

I've decided to try 'Mat777' advice and put a plugin from SoundToys first before adding the problematic one (ex. Mcdsp 404, Auto-Tune Pro) and then deleting it. You can then add another instance of the same plugin in another track and it won't crash ableton.

*You can make a Audio Effect Rack with those plugins with the SoundToys one being off

I don't know what tf does a SoundToys has in common with that crash but it works for now and I can still use Nexus 3 (for me it crashes when using Ableton in win. 8 comp. mode)

Good advice, indeed interesting to see no crash with one SoundToys plugin included.

Maybe you also know a fix for the Antares Avox Evo 3.0.2 AIR?
Here with JBridge on Windows 19H2 Ableton Live 10.1.14 it's not working. Not in win 8 compatibility mode or admin.
