I can't understand that also. If the product it's only the compressor, it sounds good like Ultramarine, Midnight, El Rey, Aquamarine... But when it comes with a channel strip it just sucks. I'm yet to know a compressor made for a channel strip by Acustica that sounds good. If you guys know, pls tell here

I'm sorry to say this, but this is a sign of what you (and that random guy) seem to understand about audio technology...
So Reper and Cubase, e.g. that allows you to work in 32bit floating point is it a scam?

 

The important thing to understand is what folders Aquarius checks... I've checked it with a monitor app and Aquarius only checks plugin folders so if you have the original framework it only should be really needed to move the plugs out of that folder while using Aquarius.

You are doing something wrong. Everything is working fine here with latest legit FL Studio..
What I have done is- Copied the framework to System32. Then created a folder under Program files/Common files/VST3. I copy everything here including the content of !Common folder and the contents of the VST2/VST3. The files inside the folder '!Common' and the files insider the VST folders from the R2R rar, should be in the same folder.

I had bought a few of their plugins back in the day but failed to understand how one can use them on a daily basis and enjoy a quick and efficient workflow considering their GUI are so bloated and lagging. And now the idea of having copy protection files which are, like, five times the size of a plugin, is just ridiculous and anti-consumer.

 

Overall I tend to agree, the comps in the channel strips are bad and not at all the same flavor as the single compressor unit, I particularly like the magenta comp unlike the ultramarine that you mention which I really don't like him, it's also a question of color taste and context of use I suppose! So far Coral & Magenta hasn't disappointed me that much & I like the new brickwall from Erin which has something even if I can't say what precisely..

and also they implemented anti-piracy scheme, they can deactivate your account forever if you have illegitimate AA plugins, which your account with paid plugins you bought will be bye bye.

A bit ironic if there is false positive case, your account will be banned without mercy.

so it is very anti-consummer practice, yep this is the riskiest move from acustica itself, they will accuse from anti-trusts for consumer's complains.

I've been learning AA plugins 2 or 3 of them per day, test them and stuff. Today I found some problem with the Amethyst 4. Should I start another thread just to post about problems so R2R can see them and maybe fix them ? Posting about it in the original post few days after release will make it appear on the 2nd page or high chance nobody will ever look at it again and missed it. So far, I think there's still some problem with JET even after the previous one fixed by R2R, preset problem with SIENNA's Volume and today AMETHYST 4.

AMETHYST 4 EQ (standalone EQ module)
- turning on PRE will load wrong/weird impulse both on 48kHz and 48kHz 2X OS (96kHz)
- hard to hear for newbie and on bad monitoring system. It sounds "reverby" some might thought it sounds better and 3D, . Under the analyzer, it looks like this.

AMETHYST 4 PRE and AMETHYST 4 PRE ZL (the standalone Preamp module)
- Mic and Line every single one of the pre selection is working.
- For "Custom" preamp selection :
- 9098c - no sound
- 9098e - loading wrong/weird impulse, from the manual this is the same PRE for the EQ. So can assume the share the same vector.
- 2500 Mix - no sound
- 2500 Bus - no sound
- 2500 Mix ST - the only one that working correctly

A recent post from Zaphod. It seems like he doesn't care to fix the security issue at Nebula. He has a manipulative way with words that makes it easy to either hate or love him. With an army of fanboys he's confident enough to never admit any mistakes. It's becoming politics instead of engineering.

 

This is impossible. Acustica Audio is the best plugin developer of all time. Any perceived problems you hear or see can be fixed by upgrading your system

 

Very confusing logic from Giancarlo. Acustica Audio doesnt have to fix security vulnerabilities because PDF files can be exploited? we arent talking about every exploits of all file types. just Acustica products only. This screams incompetency or unprofessional-ism.

 

I think it would be good if you created the thread and if someone can pin it because if you wait until everything is released I think you will wait until January, also seeing their latest releases I don't think they are still aware of the problem with some libraries (the same for the libs they only have 44/96)
