I cant remember whether or not I tried it because for me, 10.0.14 was stable and I'd set it all up exactly how I liked. I did try installing a newer version of 10 that didn't export to MP3 though that I wasn't very happy with. Which number exactly illudes me. I'm sorry.

Apologies, I told you wrong. I've just double checked the version, and it is 10.1.14 and not (10.0.14 as previously stated)

Cracked version are the exact same version as legit one.
The crack is only the licence info, nothing to do with the program behaviour itself.

So cracked versions are not crashing more than legit versions.

I'm given to understand though, setting up moody copies of Ableton are fairly easy as they are supplied with instructions. Once installed you can go here with help regarding setup.

There's no "cracked version" of Ableton. It's the same one (you even download it from the source directly sometimes). It's just a keygen.

I never bought Live and it's running perfectly on Mac (especially since 11+).

 

So, after more than one year, how are things with the latest version 11 (11.3.13)? Stable enough? Laggy or smooth enough? Worth upgrading?

(Very probably 12 will introduce new issues/problems and will take some time to become good enough).

v11.3.13 is working flawlessly here on Windows 10. Project loading, scanning, crashing, "laggy", all non-issues. Everything works as it should. It is the most stable version yet.

 

I'm on the 10.3 since its release no crash bugs except when I abuse the plugins on my master or in my auxiliary feedback!

Yes but I changed a word I think both 10 and 11 can be very, very stable depending mostly on the plugins in use. When using 300+ unlegit plugins there can be a problem sometimes of course.
When doing live sessions where it should never crash I always stick to stock plugins and a few trusted other plugins. Both on 10 and 1w I've had great experience. Imho, updating to latest is usually a great idea.
