R2R cracked Acustica, I just can't believe it

I'm happy for R2R and the entire community being excited about it, but @Barncore kinda answered my question I was going to ask.. as somebody who has never tried any of AA stuff, are they even worth bothering with today when we have PA, Softube, IK, DMG etc etc? Is it all same same, just a different flavor sort of thing or are these on a different level? :dunno:

    Isn't even hard to crack?
Apperently it is very HARD to crack as otherwise they would have crack Acustica looong time ago the first time they tried back in 2014 they had problems with the fact that Acustica CALL HOME and they also install files on USERS computer that is VERY hard to find and that also call home.
Their method is awful as they include protection code in alot of files hence it takes up alot of cpu
Its like those who include protection in library content like Liquidsonic does it ´makes it very hard to crack and takes alot of man hours to do

After reading opinions here and giving it thought, I concur. The release is important for the overall audio software landscape, R2R know what they're doing and I'm just salty I have to wait another few years for Softube updates.

Guys, you're forgetting the most important thing. How good their plugins are is up to each individual to decide.

Thanks to groups like R2R we get to know the true face of the people who create these plugins. Giancarlo likes to write kilometer long texts, telling how much work they do, how difficult it is, etc.

In fact they mask their shity protection to the detriment of the users and explain to us that
    - This is the way it should be

There are small companies that make great plugins and don't try to cheat their users, we should support them, not fill Giancarlo's pocket.

R2R cracked Acustica because they can. Groups sometimes crack stuff to show their abilities and strength.
In your face, presumptuous Giancarlo Del Sordo!

No interest in Acustica too, cant stand their faux skeuomorphic user interfaces, plugin naming scheme and undeserved marketing hype.

I think it's better and easier to crack the UAD Native plugins than these, and UA plugins are more stable and sufficient than Acustica's plugins.
UPD: I like many of Acustica's models, but they are very intensive on the CPU load and not very practical for real-world applications where you need multiple instances of the plugins. I only use them for offline rendering of vocals, etc, or mastering.

Small question. Can I understand the Acustica Plugins just as a form of Impulse Response Loader with an interface? And they sampled each step from some Hardware?

Guys, please, no comments like I hope XY is next because that's a warez request and no off-topic comments about different companies or copy protections.

So protection makes the plugin stable and usable and ofc thank god piracy is a thing so they tend to protect (optimize) their plugins for legit user.

"Regarding compromised accounts, as soon as your account is linked to an 'illegitimate' product, it will simply be deactivated."

So I just have to install the extended trial to get my account deactivated by the company and get fully refunded according to EU law?

Literally everyone else. You're selling a product. Part of the obligation of selling said product is to ensure your customers can use them as described and to fix the issues that arise from that experience. The guy that makes APU loudness meter drops an update almost daily. There are other people that don't even charge for updates. I don't get how this is something to gloat over.

Set to be improved. You also said you have no timeline around when they will be since you are focused on new products. You also said not all can be improved. Some are downright so heavy on CPU they're borderline unusable in a large session. A product like Sienna is supposed to help you make proper mix decisions, but the CPU use is so bad, once you get most plugins enabled in a session, you can't really use Sienna anymore.

Also LOL, are you really saying that the 13 steps R2R listed are MORE optimized than the 4 steps of R2R's release? Make that make sense G! If they're unstable in unprotected form, then spend time fixing it! It's insane that you think packing it is the solution to optimization!

That's a big FU to your customers! Piracy will always exist. You can handle it gracefully or in your case, offload that to the customer. Because at the end of the day, they're the ones being punished. Well, indeed a lot more of your customers will head elsewhere since you've made it clear you're purposely eating at space consumption.

Nice scaremongering dude. Indeed, the choice is ours.
