I have a Korg Kontrol49. Works great. But I was going over all standard presets. And there is one preset for a VST-i called FREE ASSIGN. Does anyone know this? I did never receive the KORG CD as it was not in the package. Did you guys ever get to use this FREE ASSIGN?

Havent used the Korg Kontrol so Im just guessing here... Is "Free Assign" not just something like MIDI linking? I mean click a knob on VSTi and assign it to something on the Korg?

    IDK

free assign means all knobs and faders and whatever else are free assignable. Presets are already assigned in some sort of way. Free assign should mean not auto mapped.

I did read the manual. Cover to cover.

because it is a seperate preset I thought it was some sort of VST-i. And there is the NATIVE MODE, wich I thought was what now is being named FREE ASSIGN....
