Hi everyone! Made this skin for Purple Audio MC 77 by Plugin Alliance (Brainworx) inspired by the Anniversary Edition of the 1176 by UAD (I was asked to by someone I talk to). The skin is Mac only, because there is no option to install it on Windows unfortunately.



It is free for audiosex members as a thank you for the support and kind words I have received here for my other skins (PolyMAX skin, bx_opto skin). You can download it from my Google Drive.

However, I would be extremely glad if you could buy it. Anything is good: I'm in an awful position and in a big need. It feels pathetic and embarrassing to write this, but I really don't have a lot of options. Thank you.

If anyone knows how to find the .png files for the skin on Windows, I'd be glad to know! I've tried Resource Hacker, but it didn't work at all.

 

Maybe there's a hidden folder somewhere?

 

Any updates on your waves HiDPI skins? i can't seem the find the post.

 

I'm still working on the Waves HiDPI skins - it's a really big effort, because I want to create as much skins as possible and do that all till the end of November. Vocal Rider, NS1, SoundShifter are finished, MV2 almost, CLA76 in the process, L2 only started and much more others. I'm also creating different variations for them - SoundShifter has three themes for example. It's a lot of work, but I hope it is all worth it.

good job bro. unfortunately, i don't think it will possible to do for windows (to my knowledge) cause for you would need resource hacker, which basically deems the plugin unloadable

now about the mc77, which version have you tried opening? the legit one from PA or the one from R²R's release? because sometimes the crackers lock the cracked plugins somehow (forgot where i read it) so devs won't know what allowed the teams to reverse their plugins...

so for now i would recommand that you download the legit demo and see if you can unpack the ressources from there...

 

Ive looked into this a couple times and from what ive found alot of these new vst3 have the png inside the vst3.dll.I have yet to find a way to un pack them to get to them some developers still keep them in other sections of windows (Like Waves Etc) but it seems more and more there inside the vst3 so you would have to figure out how to unpack and repack the vst3.dll.Im sure theres a way i mean they get into the dll some how ive tried resource hacker all the regulars even 7zip and uniextract as last ditch efforts, probably need to look into packaging software i just kind of gave up after some time.

Interesting, so if there are .png files, it's probably possible to just replace them? I think I didn't try with the .vst3, I only did with the .vst 2 dll. Maybe that's why RH didn't show anything.

Both of these skins look great; I'm on Windows though, so for now, I can only dream of tastefully designed bx_opto GUI.
Now I know how Mac kids feel 24/7/365, unattended and alone...

 

this really is cool work, and sucks to hear you're in a shitty position right now. dunno, maybe you could think about doing a patron or something instead of selling things individually? people sign up for 5 bucks a month and you release a skin to download once a month or whatever. have different tiers for requests and such, thats what azzimov does for acusticas nebula and it's great at least on my end as a patron(i guess? that's weird to say). anyway good luck, im stoned and just got paid so i bought one even though i dont have a mac and dont have that plugin lol hope it helps.

 

Anything but that highlighter colour is an improvement.

Damn, so nice of you to say that! If I could bring Plugin Alliance (brainworx) skins to windows, I'd do that in a heartbeat.

I discover more and more tweakable UIs though. Soundtoys for example. The weirdest part is that the backplate can be twice the resolution and still fit, while other elements can't. Maybe in the future I'll make HiDPI backplates for them lol. I myself only have the Little Plate and Little Radiator.

any skin for soundtoys is worth $15, please, someone do it!
I really hope soundtoys ands gain in out etc, at least vol control of repeat-delays in echoboy...as for purple read the comments on all the reverb adverts, so many clones out there.

 

Purple is my favourite color, but I'm not a fan of things which are fully-colored in a prominent color. I prefer the use of color as an accent. And also I really like the design of the Anniversary Edition of 1176, so yeah ;)

 

Adding new controls is unfortunately impossible, I can only modify the looks of the plugins.
