Hi there! Do you remember the first time you heard your voice on a recording - back in my day, that was on a 'cassette tape' using a portable tape-recorder. Did it freak you out? "Oh man - do I sound like that?" That's the beginning of one's vocal insecurities - and EVERYone gets that right then and there to start life off. Fun huh?

Good news is EVERY voice can now be ameliorated via pitch correction and of late, AI as well. But the best thing is to say, "Okay - THIS (your real voice) is me." You are not broadway. Fine. You are not Bon Jovi. Okay too. You are not X Y or Z. Who gives a toss. You are your voice and you can make it work and work it to make it enjoyable at least for a personal project. If you've written the piece that the world needs to hear because "it's the one" then sure - hire (Fiverr) a singer that you think can replicated what's in your head. So many options. Just have fun. My voice? A tad too broadway perfect for me (with some pitch issues in the studio - not so much live ... go figure). My wife? A kid voice - even into her 60's! But I always feature her singing in backing vocals BECAUSE they sound so pure and young.

Just enjoy what the good Lord gave ya.
    Cheers!

Exposure and training. Find a vocal coach, record often and listen often.
    Everybody comes through that phase.
Also I would assume you have trouble accepting things in general? Train this skill too. Take the world for what it is, don't waste your emotions on things that don't exist in one way or another.

Hi Kush , first let me say its a nice attempt at what your trying to do vocally , but .....
you sound like your 'afraid' or unsure of yourself to sing with any confidence in the demo you have here.
Dont be , just do it loud and bring your confidence level up. theres nothing that cant be undone in this digital world !!

    [ Suggestions ] ::
    1) . Do your vocal parts IN MONO !!!!
    2) . take all the crap efx your putting in that mix and turn it off. ( sing the part completely dry and LOUD ! )
    3) . Practice it several times , get a feel for what your conveying for the vocal.
    4) . Also , maybe you should be thinking of some harmony parts that would fit nicely against your lead vocal.
    5) . breath man ..... breath !! Dont feel any stress when your recording it ever. it will allow you to enjoy it more !!

When you go back to hear the playback the first time , mute everything BUT the vocal and turn it up loud .... listen !
So , finally , when / if you put that damn autotune stuff back on , dont use it to drown your voice , use it to compliment !!
but ALWAYS , try your very best to sing it dry , and sing it as close to in-tune as you can , trust me , your results will be
    so much better.

"Good on ya man , keep going , ya gotta nice compo going on and its a catchy piece , so keep on going !!"

    p3ACE 2 U'z !!

think of your voice as an instrument. anyone can play an instrument, some play badly always, some only at first. some become virtusos many remain mundane. The key is to practice, this enables you to do what you want when you want to.
you should record your voice many, many times and listen to the results and think about how you can make this or that phrase sound better.

Try different mics and different pre-amps, all will sound different, find the one for your voice and remember the combination of mic and preamp that you favor and use it whenever possible. Many guitarist have a favorite guitar, David Gilmour had hundreds of guitars, but he only used a half a dozen for his recordings. When you get used to an instrument you know what it can do and what it can't do, this is important in producing and composing.Know your limits and work within them also try to stretch them sometimes

Lastly and this will come with practice, but you need to understand nuance and phrasing. If you sing everything in monotone everybody goes to sleep, even Fred Schneider (b52s) mixes up his talking/singing style. Learn where to emphasize phrases.

also try doubling your tracks, and sing the same phrase twice, don't copy and paste it, this will get you used to sing with others and also will sound better when you mix it down

caution, I'm not a famous vocalist, but I have learned to sing a bit..also you can try one of t.c. helicons voice pedal, they are fun and will keep you motivated

Honestly this isnt bad, especially given the genre its standard to hard tune vocals. Keep at it and I'd love to listen to the finished product!

Naah.. Don't listen to any of them ..they fucking lying. Just go viral!

Seriously, I don't think it's bad for what you're going after. You have quite some tips up there, esp with the "confidence" part

Lou Reed made a career out of a less than good singing voice. He did have fantastic material though....so, as an artist use what you've got and be unique to the best of your ability. You might not be in the same lane as Chris Cornell but then again not many are.

I think it's all down to your natural tone, you can change/work on everything else apart from that. Your tone sounds ok to me, you just seem to be lacking in skill, which comes with learning and practice, like any instrument.

i dont think u sound bad... u have a chance but u have to train some your sing, i know u r using autotune, but do not minimize the power of at least know how to posicionate your throat strings( or feel what u r doing its kind the same). once u achieve that, feel free to sing without thinking, the best part! cause the autotune gotcha if u fail some note, but now the problem its minimized ! last plus, the "best take" a singer can make its the one that its not thinking, but feeling.
